Use 8 kg of salt for every 100 kg of green vegetables, arrange the green vegetables in the jar, sprinkle salt, one layer of vegetables and salt, and fill the jar. Press each layer tightly until the juice is discharged. Put a breathable lid on the vegetables and add heavy objects. After about 5 to 10 days, when the vegetables turn yellow and have fragrance, take them out of the jar, squeeze them slightly and dry them until about 4 kg of dried vegetables are obtained for every 100 kg of green mustard greens. Add soy sauce and mix well. After the dried vegetable dough is fully absorbed, steam it for 3 to 4 hours, mix it with Camellia oil while it is hot, and then spread it out to dry for a while. I’m always impressed that DB will try almost anything. Those self-heating meals always look a bit…ominous to me, but maybe I’m just not adventurous enough. I’m also a vegetarian, so I’m less likely to find a meal that I’d like, but honestly, the tofu pudding and the tomato hotpot without the lunch meat and bone broth looked nice. But I’m more likely to look for a recipe to recreate them than to seek out these premade meals. But that’s my own personal hang up and I’m happy that DB shares his finds with us.

There are many vegetarian varieties of self-heating Chinese food.Ask a Chinese supermarket owner and he will recommend it for you.
@ysf-d9i3 ай бұрын
first of all, most of these are vegetarian because meat is harder to preserve. Secondly, these are so awesome! they're pretty expensive for the amount of food if you eat it at home, but i always get tempted to get one every once in a while. It's just fun pretending like its the end of the world and this is the last survival meal kit left. And they're decently tasty too
@pinkmonkeybird26442 ай бұрын
@@ysf-d9i DB is very much a happy meat eater and tends to seek out meat options for his meal. I think everyone should eat what they want without worrying what people think; I was just pointing out the ones that appealed to me, nothing else. And I’m not sure where you live, but most of these meal kits I’ve seen do have meat included, or at least come with a meat broth. I live in an area with a large population of Korean Americans, so I think their preferences are driving what the Asian markets nearby carry.
