I don’t think anyone has explained it but Rick was not in a hospital in Atlanta when he woke up, it was the outskirts because he had to ride into a major city because that’s where he thought Lori would go.

That's Right. Rick was in Harrison Memorial Hospital in King County Georgia. He was waiting to be transferred to Atlanta (Grady Memorial) where 2 characters ended up......

In the comics Abraham was out getting stuff and a group of guys I believe were his family’s neighbors, assaulted his wife and kids and when he came back he 💀 them for what they did to his family, that’s why you see bruises on her in the background. But what they saw Abraham do they didn’t trust him after so they left while he was sleeping and ended up getting eaten by walkers. Pretty traumatizing if you ask me

I believe the same events took place in the show, regardless it was one of the most heartbreaking backstory’s EVER 😭!!!

Grady is a real hospital in Atlanta but not the one Rick woke up in. I love how Eugene was in the self help section watching them get busy. Lol. Loving the reactions, you guys are hilarious and really make it fun rewatching the show with you both! ❤️🧟♀️

This is not a spoiler but this does reference the comics :D This is why the episode can be hard to understand The editors failed to realize how many people have not read the comics and the full story really wasn’t explained well in the flashback scenes. The comics have the Abraham story that his former neighbours/friends brutalized his wife and children while he was away if you look closely in the show his wife Ellen has bruises on her face so it is implied subtly and when Abraham returned and found out what happened he killed the men who did this. His wife and children in the TV show were terrified he murdered those men that’s why they ran away The only way we can reason Abraham killing the men was completely justified is if we know the comic backstory. The problem is that the flashback failed to give the entire picture of why Abraham did what he did and the fact it was near the beginning of the collapse So if you go back in your mind society had just collapsed in the back story so this was not normal behaviour to exact revenge like that. For us as viewers it makes it even harder to understand the reaction of the wife and because the scenes for the backstory were incomplete Just realize that by this time in the story of Rick and our crew we are getting used seeing the brutality of lawlessness and revenge/justice killings (The Claimers and The Terminites deaths) So the connection aren’t easily made to understand Abraham’s back story without knowing the comic story. In the episode if you look carefully you’ll see the bodies of his wife and children on the ground you see a corpse with a red head band this is Abraham’s wife Ellen Then it shows his red headed son face down and piece of luggage on the ground and his daughter to the right also face down This flash is only three seconds long so it is easy to miss and it is right after Eugene is hit and collapses after Abraham beat him When Abraham finds his wife and children dead this is why Abraham was going to kill himself not only because he felt alone/ isolated but also because he felt he had terrified his wife and children and caused them to run away from him and be killed by walkers. Hope that helps to bring some clarity :)

Rick woke up in Harrison Memorial Hospital and Beth is in Grady Memorial Hospital. Also, scratches don't do anything, the virus is in the walker's mouth, infection comes from bites.
@cleogriffith99214 ай бұрын
You can definitely get the infection from a scratch, Morgan told Rick don’t let them scratch you bcuz I think that’s how his wife died
@korivex7424 ай бұрын
@@cleogriffith9921 Morgan's wife died from a bite... he asked about scratches and once Glenn checked Maggie for scratches but not one did anyone every get infected and die from a scratch.

It’s definitely not the same hospital, but could possibly be the same hospital that the Vatos group was in, because Grady hospital is one of the main hospitals of Atlanta and it’s near midtown Atlanta, the area they were scavenging in during season one

The “so… back to it” was completely unnecessary and also quite genius 🤣

Abraham is a soldier, it’s possible he’s a combat veteran and has a history of PTSD associated violence, that could be why his wife and kids were so scared of him. That’s my take on it 😢

Did you catch the easter egg in "Consumed"? When Daryl and Carol leave the women's shelter the next day, you can see a tank positioned in an intersection just down the street from them. It was the same tank Rick crawled into to escape the horde at the end of the very first TWD episode in Season 1. Also, when they were filming the van going off the bridge, it kept landing upside down. (It's impossible for it to land right side up from the starting position it was in.) They finally used a crane to dangle it over the edge and drop it so it would land right side up. This wasn't in your edit, but did you catch the book that fell out of Daryl's bag in the scene where he was trying to pry open the door (right after Noah stole their weapons from them)? It was a book about treating survivors of childhood abuse that he took from the shelter. That was a pretty powerful moment since it showed us Daryl recognizes he has lasting emotional scars (not just physical) from being abused as a child, and that he wants to work on recovery and healing. It's also an actual workbook that's used to treat real-life abuse survivors. As for "Self Help", I will never understand how Abe's wife could have thought Abe would ever be a threat to her and their children. Yes, he went rage-mode on those guys, but it was only because they were planning to do some pretty awful things to his family. What did she expect him to do? Stand by and let it happen? 🙄

It's literally the same hospital because I was there. I saw where Rick walked out of the hospital and climbed the hill. I even saw the firetruck covered in a blue tarp before season five even came out. We took pictures of it. I sat on the curb in Alexandria before I knew it was Alexandria. I could explain this better if it wasn't a comment. I probably should mention I live a few hours away from where TWD is filmed.

Comic Comparisons : Eugene’s story goes the exact same In the comics he says he lies because he knows he’s too weak to survive on his own His only advantage was lying and his knowledge as a high school science teacher he admits that he’s not strong like Abraham he’s not a leader like Rick he’s not good looking like Rosita He used what he knew what to do best If I was in his shoes I would’ve done the same.

Can't catch you as often as I'd like as I seem to live in medical offices these days or you are ahead of me on something I'm trying to watch first time with my son and I don't watch things ahead of him. Anthony Congrats on the home making. I know its dated but Please play left for dead live and finish the tell tale games. That would be a helluva thing. P.S. I don't hate Eugene right now but I'd of kicked his pasty backside for pushing so stupidly hard. Big red too. I'd shave his mustache after and glue it to his eyebrows.

Eugene deserved that punch from Abraham but you do have to be careful in situations like that! I had a high school friend who was being a jerk and trying to pick a fight…a random guy came over and punched him trying to stop the fight from escalating and my friend fell back and hit the back of his head on a concrete kerb..he unfortunately died and the random guy had to face a manslaughter charge! The whole thing was a mess and shouldn’t have happened 😢
