It’s so important to study yourself. Most of my life has been about other people’s needs and wants. Now that all of my immediate family has passed away and I have had to distance myself from the people I thought were good friends I finally am taking or even forced to look at myself and get to know myself. Its a rough process especially at my age but I’m gonna do it. With God I know I can.

My 20's Motto is self- LOVE, self- DISCIPLINE, self- IMPROVEMENT, and self- DISCOVERY. And don't worry I am DEFINITELY going to write it out big and PLASTER it in my room. U help me every time you post. KEEP GOOOOOOOOOOING

kathy dorismond exactly. People always say LOVE YOURSELF but they never told you how. But she just did. Yes about your plans and plastering t in your room. I just create da huge vision board I’m getting it laminated tomorrow and put it on my ceiling so when I sleep at night I can stare at it before closing my Keyes and it will be the first thing I see when I wake up.

@Eriana George .... meditation is huge in attaining/feeling and inner love and peace. If you do it every day you will never feel better I promise you. Even just finding a guided meditation on youtube. There are so many things you can do in the external world to make you feel great but this is the one thing you can do from within and the results are almost immediate.

She forgot to add: Enjoy The Process. In the beginning it’ll be difficult and hard to figure out but in about 9 months when you notice a big difference from where you were, you’re gonna smile because you’ve gotten the hang of it and know you can only get better from there. You’ll become the best version of yourself, and you did it for you. And you’ll love being selfish. Whoever destroyed you, you’ll never feel that anymore 💕

I trust you people to be vulnerable enough to admit these things I will list : so I'm 20 y / college student / from a middle class family but always wanted to upgrade in the social ladder / well spoken and smart / cute / ambitious / active YET I have issues I never felt that I can rely on anyone besides my mum even my dad as he does not understand the importance of being there for your child and giving him/her love. my heart breaks a little every time I see my mum sad because of my dad's behaviour and cheating. growing up knowing that you'll end up cheated on no matter how loving you'll be is sad. my mum raised me good and my dad terrorised to stay out of trouble so here I'm trouble free / educated and respected by others. when it comes to boys I'm the worst at asking for stuff and being spoiled ( I don't ask my dad for stuff so I'm used to having my needs ignored by males ) and I settle for way less than I deserve. now i want to be spoiled and cherished but I don't want to give my body in exchange ( men want sex 99% of the time ) . I feel like I'm stuck in the pick me / bob the builder / 50% role !!!! HELP ME
@daphneepaul37375 жыл бұрын
mar iem.k me too. I graduated from college. I have a nice body and I’m a good person. So you would think I get what I want. Nope. My self esteem is so low that I dated homeless men, men with mental issues, men who work at Berger king. Men with kids. All I want is to date someone who is in the same level as me. Someone who has at least a high school diploma. So you see? I’m not asking for much right? But these types never talk to me. So I just settle for the homeless, McDonald worker and so on. Iike you, my dad never helped me either so I’m used to do things for myself. Even when I go on a date I’m expected to pay for my half of the date. None of the guys I’ve dated ever paid for my meal or my movie ticket. I just want a guy who’s gonna pay for dinner and spoil me. But it has yet to happen. Like you said, in order to get spoiled by these rich men you have to give up the goodies. I guess that’s y I settle for dusties. Becaus at the end of the day they can’t dare to ask to sleep with me cause they don’t do shit for me. I can easily cuss them out. Whereas a rich one expects you to have sex with them in exchange for them spoiling you. And of course they’re usually old men. I would feel disgusted sleeping with a guy 30 years my senior. So I don’t know what to do. Date dusties and keep my sex or date old rich men and give my body.

I recently led a presentation (webinar) on a topic that I am very passionate about and it was recorded. Then I rewatched and it was full of repetitions, monosyllables, weird pauses and overall not as great as I thought I did. This video is touching on these feelings I experience. 😭 omg I'm just shocked of how it was ACTUALLY REAL advice (unlike all other materials videos and articles on similar topics), in depth and comprehensive, on not just how to love yourself, but how to reassemble yourself from scratch, also after a major period of being mentally down and losing all your mental and spiritual base. I've been dancing around these points for a while, trying to concentrate and be consistent and proactive. My only issue is craving for tenderness and me aging is really distracting and it seems like I won't get there while I'm still young enough anyway :/
