IDEA: Try to use toothed belt and 3 identical cog pulleys. Use one distributor for 12 cyl engine coupled to the main engine camshaft. Then set timings of the first cylinders of each engine at 0⁰ 30⁰ and 60⁰ respectively. Cable distribution from distributor to spark plugs: main engine receives cables 1, 4, 7 and 10, second engine 2, 5, 8 and 11 and third 3, 6, 9, 12. In order to have right firing order. You have to be really accurate with synchronizing these 3 crankshafts. I suggest you to use pulleys with 48 teeth or 36, easier to set angular offsets.

Larger rear wheels and something to add weight to the rear. If you have all that weight in the front there is very little weight to push the rear down and transfer the power. Stripping the weight at the front could help a little like removing lights and body panels etc. You could mount the radiator on the roof to try centre the load between the front and rear wheels. (possibly other engine components?) In terms of drag racing, tyres with screws in an ice enviornment is ideal for traction but larger tyres will help a great deal or reducing tyre pressure to maximise contact with the road. Once you have the added traction as mention you can then start tweaking the engines to get more torque.

Properly tensioned, those belts will withstand a whole lot more power than you think. Honestly the weakest point of the whole setup will be the crankshaft on the lower engine, particularly the snout the pulley attaches to.

@@johnfox3845 ya i agree a lawnmower can easley put 20hp through 1 belt, so 4 belts is putting power through, but the belt slip would drive me nuts lol.

This guy always stands too close to his contraptions. Meanwhile, whenever i change a bolt on my engine, i have to stand at least 10 yards from what could now try to kill me....
