IN A SHOCKING REVELATION, IT HAS COME TO LIGHT THAT THREE MINORS HAILING FROM LONGWA VILLAGE, MON DISTRICT WAS BEING ABUSED BY ONE PERSON, NAMED RONIKA MIACHIE-O, A RESIDENCE OF NAMGALONG COLONY, BURMA CAMP. VICTIMS HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AS, NGAPSA 8 YEAR OLD (GIRL), CHATWANG 10 YEAR OLD (BOY) & NAHPANG 13 YEAR OLD (BOY). IT IS STATED THAT RONIKA CLAIMS HERSELF AS AN ENVIRONMENTALIST & MISSIONARY AND BROUGHT THE THREE MINORS FROM LONGWA TO DIMAPUR, ON THE PRETEXT TO GIVE THEM BETTER EDUCATION BUT WERE ACTUALLY MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY TORTURED. ACCORDING TO SOURCES, NAHPANG WAS BROUGHT TO DIMAPUR IN 2020 BY RONIKA, WHEREAS CHATWANG AND NGAPSA WERE BROUGHT TO DIMAPUR BY THEIR FATHER ON JANUARY 2022 WITH HOPES FOR BETTER EDUCATION AND CARE AS DIRECTED BY RONIKA. NAHPANG’S UNCLE STATED THAT NAHPANG WAS LOCKED INSIDE THE ROOM WHERE HE WAS PHYSICALLY ABUSED & ALSO BLACKMAILED EMOTIONALLY. CHATWANG WAS HOSPITALIZED AT EDEN HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK & WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION IN ICU FOR 2 DAYS. CHATWANG WAS DISCHARGED FROM THE HOSPITAL ON 29 OCTOBER AND IS CURRENTLY WITH HIS GUARDIAN. NGAPSA & NAHPANG ARE CURRENTLY WITH CHILD HELP LINE’S CARE. FIR AGAINST RONIKA WAS LODGED ON 31ST OCTOBER AT WOMEN CELL. not only this, lots of boarding and hostel in many places are a hell for some children. My son was abused during class 6/7 while in boarding by his seniors, he's now 25 and just recently it comes out of nowhere. As a parent from the backward community we fail a lot for our children, please dont take any kind of abuse lightly, it really do changes a person's concept and way of thinking. even at the slightest sight of inhuman treatment or doubtful behaviour of abuses try to report to someone, children are the pillars of tommorow’s societies and families. the time my son was abused physically by his seniors(as his narration) its done in open, even a policeman of different community passed by but turns a blind eye, he reported the mental and physical torture to his cousin and seems his cousin confronted the abuser with words and the result.....we never notice how my two children who were in the boarding were emotionaly and mentally hurt inside, as a parents from lower section of class of the community we never even think and help them. My husband and i regreted a lot and the result is so awful for so many years they struggle with the life they had gone through, started abusing drugs and alcohol, now they are all over it and slowly coming to some senses, while trying to open up with my son the news just flashes some few days back+how unhappy they were with our parenting. I WISH AND HOPE PARENTS, CHILDREN,NEIGHBOURS,TEACHERS AND EVERYONE HELPS ONE ANOTHER INSTEAD OF BEING A HELL FOR ONE ANOTHER

The accused woman is fully responsible for the life of three children ahead.. As per report, She (Ronica alias Lenou) came to Longwa village claiming as Missionary and Environmentalist and collect children herself luring the parents that she would give better education there. Forcing a child to eat uncooked rice with sand, fastened both hands and legs beaten just as army does to underground and torturing till the next morning, trying to burning him alive putting kerosene on his head, cutting the ear of a child and so on are inhumane. Appeal the Concern authority to initiate appropriate action as per the law and do let her bears all the life/health insurance of those children.

I supposed, her actual name is Veronica aka Lenuo according to what she introduced herself to me on mobile phone about 6-7 years ago, because she even tried to have a connection with me to assist her to cross over Myanmar for distribution of some relief materials and for other charitable work. This is the pathetic condition of our life as Eastern Naga people. Parents are unable to give education to their children and unwillingly send their child with the promise of education but this is the reality. Our people are treated as slaves and helpers. I have never seen other tribes working as a helper in an Eastern Naga household. This is a small example in differences of difficulties face by Eastern Nagas. Ikw some people will still justify it but God knows! Thanks to NGO and hospital officials for their assistance.

It's unprofessional and mistak on the part of Dimapur Police to call the dangerous culprit for a meeting instead of apprehending immediately when the child were rescued and the FIR was filed. It is obvious that the culprit will be abscond, and no one even know about her real identity. What a shame. May be the family also tried to negotiate with culprit? Otherwise why they have prepared for a meeting at police station instead of court?
