Brilliant video and story! Thank you for sharing. Can you please let me know what it was like distributing the book once you received them? Would you have to take them to the post office yourself or what was the process like finding a distributor/warehouse? Did you go through amazon advantage to sell the book there too?

Thank you for watching. We actually shipped the books ourselves for the first year until the demand was too much and Nicholas's schedule got really busy. We now focus on distributing his books when he does school events or giving them away through our nonprofit.

Hi, your video has such great information. I received a quote for a soft cover book. I was told that the cover is 250sm art paper + matt/glossy lamination and the text is128gsm art paper. I have no clue what any of that means. Does your book that you showed by any chance have these specs?

Yes, you can through Amazon but not KDP. KDP is print on demand. Pro of KDP is that you don’t have to worry about purchasing inventory. Con is that the profit isn’t as great when you use print on demand. I hope this helps.

You most definitely can purchase your own from China, India, etc and also sell on your own website. You will use the exact same ISBN. You only need different ISBN numbers for different versions of your book example Hardcover, softcover, ebook. I hope this information helps. Good luck☺️

After selling the first 100 pretty quickly, we are now looking at the Amazon option. We got discouraged by the profit margins too. Can you describe how books printed in China are placed through Amazon (if it's even possible). Do you do a both-and (meaning you use Amazon AND sell and ship on your own)? Hello Timothy! Congratulations! I’m excited for your daughter and wish her nothing but success. You can purchase through China and open a sellers account on Amazon to have your books placed. You would then either ship your books to Amazon so they ship to customers or you would ship directly yourself. I’ve researched this and found that the cost involved for this type of product was not worth the time and hassle. Now if your book is priced much higher then it might be worth it. I find that it’s much easier to just have Amazon do print on demand. The quality they print is not bad. The AI can be very expensive but I feel well worth it because kids are more excited about the interactive experience. I would suggest researching this very carefully because it can be a very expensive mess up if it’s not done properly. Hello! Congratulations on publishing your children’s book. Our journey started with a book signing at Barnes and Noble. From there the media started calling. It was the same with getting the books into the schools. They school’s would call us for the books or someone would go to our website and order a book to send to the school’s. I would say reach out to your local book store and see if you can have a book signing there. Good luck on your journey.

Hello! Our book size is 8.5 x 8.5. Yes, it's so many options to choose from. I suggest you go to a bookstore and look at the different sizes and quality of books to see what you like more. 8.5 x 8.5 is normal for a children's book but they have more options☺️
