I think it would be different if the mother isnt too controlling on his son and maybe on her husband when they were still on a good marriage..I can feel that it would be really suffocating to have someone like that towards you... The problem is the mother always wants to know everything around her even about her husband and sons' doings and whereabouts...If she only considered the feelings of them then it will not come to this...good thing though the last scenes made her a little bit kind after that accident...If she only did good on the first hand then all will be alright
