Situational questions are the other half of the interview afer Behavioral questions.. The Behavioral ones are great to answer by a script that is moulded on yourself, but Situational ones are about theoretical scenarios the interviewer will ask to imagine, where you have to figure out your course of action on something that has not happened yet... Here the script must be moulded more on the target employer and target team you are going to join. They are fun to prepare, too, once you have done enough of those 😅

I have an interview lined up. Yes companies do inform in advance that it is going to be an technical+behavorial assesment. In my case it is a 85 min Hirevue assesment for Java+Behavorial assesment

Great questions, how do you figure out how to answer them when none of your work had measured results from it? There is no "35% more profits or efficiency" here, just job worked. They are great interview questions to know, I have trouble thinking of stories in my life to answer them....

Same, it’s hard for me to think of some situations especially when they ask about deadlines. Trick for these questions is to be open and let them know “I know this has happened to me in the past but with being on the spot I can’t recall this situation at the top of my head, but here is how I would handle this situation…”

I got one when I was not told it was a behavior interview. I was told a cultural fit interview which is kind of similiar to what you went through with the VP casual meeting but was really a hardcore interview with the VP. Now I know when I hear this meeting is more of a cultural fit meeting is aka star method or behavior
