Try to know only a small percentage, of what you want to write about, and you are really training yourself to be a great writer. Most of my work come just from imagination, or with a dash here or there, from truth. I prefer to never to write about something, I already know clearly about. I am a published and awarded writer, and have completed two mentorships in poetry, and several other writing classes.

My strong lack of motivation/ apathy in life just brings me down a lot, I really do try to be motivated and people even try motivating me using many methods but it doesn’t work, I just feel numb. And writing is amazing for me, it lets me get out of my imagination and dreams/nightmares I have. But then the small motivation I get washes away instantly the next day. Please give me tips on how to write better words, instead of simple words like “Said” “Gazed”, etc.The more advanced words it is, I feel like it will help a lot and not sound so basic. The most important for me is getting tips on communication skills in writing, and any other tips to help with using better words. I’m good in grammar though.

Reading is passive, writing is active. Yeah, you need to read to understand vocab and style, but a lotta people use it for procrastination. Also, I don't take King's advice seriously in the same way I don't listen to linebackers talking about post-game analysis (for all you sportsball boomers out there). Successful, yeah, but his perspective lends itself to the creative process, not the coaching process. Consider: Stephen King also doesn't believe in taking notes for writing. Tolkien couldn't have made the Elven language absent notes.

You should not quote what some "famous" writers have said, because some of them only became recognized really, cause their work became movies. Hemingway is a good writer to listen to, and me. I am an educated and gifted writer, and I also teach. I have some things to share. Educated writers do not have trouble asking for feedback, because they have been trained to. Writers can break rules You can find your weaknesses and errors, if you stop thinking about what you wrote, and do not edit it, unless you let it rest for a while. Some of the things you mentioned that a writer has a problem with, is common with uneducated writers.
@Geoffrey4545 жыл бұрын
You've made a lot of grammatical errors so I'm not inclined to listen to you.
@ladybird4915 жыл бұрын
@@Geoffrey454 WOW. You are actually saying that great poets have perfect grammar. If you really think they do, then you have issues. I am have 5 print publication coming, yet I am not a good writer cause of bad grammar. You do realize that grammar rules can be broken in creative writing. 😆 You just missed out learning from a writer, who just got accepted 5 times. You going to learn to humble yourself when you meet other writers, who have achieved more than you. My editor by the way is name Michael, and I also use grammarly for my poems. I am sure you are narcissist, because how you actually try to convince people in here, that don't know how to write great work cause of bad grammar, as if some of the best writers don't have editors. 😆 You are passive aggressive, and need help. 😆
@ladybird4915 жыл бұрын
@@Geoffrey454 I have some truth for you. JUST BECAUSE YOU USE GOOD GRAMMAR, DOESNT MEAN YOU WILL WRITE GREAT WORK. SOFTWARE CAN FIX GRAMMAR, BUT GREAT CONTENT COMES FROM YOU. Now I dare you to argue with that. I can send my work to an editor, for help with grammar, but where are you going to get your ideas from? I wonder, how many publications and awards you have. I will show you my certificates from various writing schools, if you show me yours. Show me your certificate for completing two mentorships in poetry. I have done it all and then some. I didn't have to go to college to write great poetry, and get published. I was awarded a stipend in poetry at age of 25, and never went to college for poetry. I can tell you don't really know much about writing great work, because you suggest all great writers have excellent grammar. You should really look at some of their notebooks. 😆 You got writers jealousy because your whole comment was negative, to attempt turn people from my work which only made you look ignorant. Your comment was the most foolish comment,I have ever heard from someone with writers jealousy.
