Part 14 - Consumer group in Kafka with 2 partition and 2 consumer | Kafka for beginners

In this video we will see a different use case of Kafka producer and consumer. we will create a topic with two partition and a consumer group will be there which will have two consumer instance attached to it. A producer will be there which will publish messages randomly to the two partition. The two partition will be assigned to the two consumer instances separately and they will start to consume the messages.

Thanks, But one think I want to understand that is why C1 and C2 couldnt read all the message from topic themselves. In such case, consumer may miss some of the messages from topic isnt it. Please clarify me. Thanks

if you terminate one of the consumer process, and then rerun it again. would it know the offset it last read
