It's about time someone did a detailed review of this paddle. It's been in my cart for weeks and I'm about to buy it. Thanks...

Yeah they were too late with me, I think they should do a good sale on it for holidays and I think they could get alot of traction, like 150-175

This may be a hot take, but I don't think there is a paddle out there that should cost $230.

material and labor costs less than $15, all these paddles are extremely overpriced. including QC and innovation, no paddle should cost more than $120

Especially Joola, it's made in china and they are 300 after taxes...... sucks I like the paddle they make, the scorpius, so I'm looking for something else similar to that paddle.

@ 99% of the paddles on the market are made in China with huge mark ups. I get it, they have to cover lots of costs not just the paddle cost but it does feel exorbitant when most of them are made the same way and they claim all of this “tech”. Also for what it’s worth I love my KiwiLabs Slice which is a similar shape to the Scorpius.

@@TheLuckyDink their "tech" and "innovation" is different patterns of spray foam

The use of carbon fiber in pickle ball paddles is a good thing. They are lighter and add a bit of grit to the hitting surface. But to say a 12k CF is stronger and stiffer than a 3k CF is wrong. PAN (polyacrylonitrile) fibers start off as a polymer and are processed to CF. Individual fibers are grouped together for processing. Example: 3k CF is 3,000 individual fibers grouped together into a 'tow.' The lower the tow count, the better the mechanical properties of the resultant CF. Higher tow count has lower properties but cheaper cost because more is processed at one time.

I agree. I have tried about 40 different paddles in 2 years. I love playing with a bunch of them. When it gets down to competitive play or tournament play I always play Vatic. You cant go wrong with Vatic paddles. The best paddles for your momey guaranteed. The next paddle company after VP to me would be 11six24. They make great paddles for the price too. As for sellirk..... I am never ever buying one again. Highest priced pillows out there. 😂😂

Hahaha. Yeah I’m gonna get my hands on 11six24 soon. I would’ve mentioned them as an alternative, I’ve just never played w them. But from everything I hear, great value.

@buildingpickleball I really like their 14 mm Kevlar. They're right up there with value like VP. Can't go wrong buying any one of their paddles.

It's just a basic ass paddle and its nothing special. Yes its a good paddle but so is a vatic and hundred others, Shit is just overpriced and if your okay with knowing that, then go ahead and enjoy the paddle.
