This is a quick+dirty review because I haven't had much time to work on videos lately. I'm giving away the saddle from this video, watch for the deets.

Very helpful review! I am going to go for the X2 for my daily bike. If I find that inclement weather shortens its life span then perhaps Ill try the R2

Gil, Thanks for the review. I recently rode a leather X2 on a friends road bike, about 40 miles and thought it was pretty good. I like the looks and was thinking of getting one for a vintage 1986 Schwinn Paramount that I ride here in the Midwest. I like the fact that the saddle you tested is rubber, a lot of spring rain here and it would hold up better than the leather. I have a bit of concern though, you mentioned how stiff the saddle felt and the l found the leather one quite supple. Anyway, If it does land on my bike and does not work out, I am sure someone in my group would love to give it a try. Thanks again, I enjoyed your review. Rick

I would use this saddle for my gravel bike. I bikepacked once this year, and realized i need a better saddle. I'm not too keen on leather, so i s well have had my eye on this saddle. Nice review, it gave me a pretty good idea of how the saddle will fit.

I already ride a Selle Anatomica and love them except that they are not so durable. But the comfort on them is worth it. I ride my bike during the winter and cannot keep riding with my weather saddle. Would love to see how this rubber behaves in cold conditions and could even do a review on it too. If it does not fit or I don't like it, I will give it away too.

I would run it on my hardtail 29er that it set up for speedy gravel rides. I have a t series saddle and one of the things that tends to bother me about it is how slippery it is with casual shorts. I think a dremel with a sanding bit would do the job of rounding the edges. I wonder if they may offer laces to pull the edges in.....

i love my brooks saddle but i always get them wet and they get messed up pretty quick. I always wanted to try one made from a more durable material.

Thank you for the review! I would like to try it out on my bike that I use for commuting. I am not sure if I should selltle for the R2 or the H2, therefore it would be nice to try one of them before buying the wrong one. Which saddles from Selle Anatomica have you tried so far?

strange , you would think the rubber would be enginneered to have a suspension quality about it.

given it away yet? I'll put it on my new steel road bike. I've been using b17 narrow imperial which is so insanely comfortable that I can sit on it and pedal hard for hours without any soreness. Also bought a c15 carved and found it really grippy and so coarse that is grinds my ass (not thighs) from over the bibs. I can't see how people like it. I'm very cruious about this saddle and its shape being somewhere between the swallow and b17 narrow imperial, I have a feeling that it might do the trick for me. Please let me give it a try if you still have it. I would have bought it from Selle themselves but their free returns won't do me any good me being overseas and already losing a lot of dough for returns shipping in case I don't like it.

I'd put it on my retro batavus professional (1989), as my old leather saddle is damaged due a crash. If it doesn't suite me, enough other people of my cycling family would be interested i guess ;)

First of all, whatta coupl'a cutieees! Well Gil, when I like a saddle I take it along with me on which ever bike I'm riding in the season. If I'm on my city commuter I'll use it for that, if I'm touring (road or bikepacking) I'll swap it to those bikes, if it's winter (it's full winter now in Mtl) I'll put it on my old trusty blue Panasonic. I'm a one saddle kinda guy Gil, I switch horses from time to time, but I stick with a good saddle. If you want more info, ...like and subscribe! :) :) :) And I'm sorry that it hurts your tender bits.
