Yes, Ray it does happen but I haven't been hit with over 8% and which negotiations skills also needs to be there. Most of the time now I will always just send a wire for deposit now.

It only protects the supplier. The dispute team will never listen to the buyer's side even though you have provided all the evidences such as poor quality items, worst paints, defective items, broken items, missing parts, etc that they required. Let this be a warning before dealing with Alibaba.

Re the wire payment, if you're using a new supplier that you don't know, is there a risk that the goods might not be delivered (worst case) after you've made the wire payment to settle the final 70%. How do you de-risk against that, do you use some kind of escrow account. Thks

good question. So don't pay the 70% until you get an inspection done. Then use a 3rd party freight forwarder to handle the shipment that your trust.

Hello brother, actually i ordered something from allibaba and my supplier told me to do the payment from trade assurance. Initial payment that i need to do is around 926 USD but they charged me around 1000 USD. 1.SO what should i do now? 2.Have they charged me any processing fees? 3. Should I ask for refund and if yes will they return me my full 1000$ ?

If you are paying thru trade assurance there will be some fees, more if you use CC, and less if you do wire transfer. They should be able to refund you if you haven't started the production process at all

QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!! i need clarification on. Whenever I enquire from @t and speak to a rep, i speak with them and ask for an invoice for total goods plus shipping cost to my country Papua New Guinea. They always give me the cost of the goods and they also add the shipping cost in the invoice. I request that they send me the invoice issued by UPS (in this case) that outlines how much it cost to ship to my country but they never agree to send me an official invoice. they tell me they can't do that. Why is that? It makes me find it terribly difficult to believe how they derive an amount for shipping without proof from the shipping company. I just want to know if this is a normal thing that occurs and if i am just getting worked up for nothing? or is it really possible to get an shipping invoice from shipping companies but they just don't want to disclose the Shipping Invoice? HELP!!

Stygian Girl Hi as a Chinese supplier, I can provide you some information on this hope it would be helpful for you. Not all Chinese factories can get the best price from big shipping company, so they work with local agent, these agent are working with multiple shipping companies such as UPS DHL Fedex etc., they are sending packages a lot everyday and are able to get pretty big discount from shipping company. Since your supplier is not working with shipping company directly, it’s almost impossible to get an invoice for you through them. If you would like to know if your supplier overcharged you on shipping, you can call UPS to check the price information, the price you paid should be at least 20% cheaper than their original price.

Actually, I think a video over cashflow would be great. Right now I'm putting all my advertising costs on credit cards, and have all my revenue go to my business checking account, so when its time to reorder or replenish stock, I can actually pay for it. Yes but I dont use the inspection company to ship. What you want to do is look up freight forwarders. I use worldcraft logistics and you can use first choice shipping for CA

Before. If the price is too high and you cant negotiate a price your happy with then it will not be viable to work with them. Therefore there is no point ordering a sample from them.

Hey Candice, work with a freight forwarder and they can handle all the fees and paperwork and provide you with an estimate before you ship. I use worldcraft logistics for china to usa sea shipments
