This is outstanding. I love Tommy's guitar solo. It calls opon some old familiar blues and jazz melodies mixed with a bunch of Tommy's spontaneity, flair, and feeling. It's funny at the end when the camera pans out and it looks like there's like 15 guys watching in this tiny little club. It's a shame more people couldnt have seen this performance live, i know i would have liked to.

Thank you Henriette. Your comment popping up in my email inspired me to watch it. I don't think I've seen it since I posted it and I'm really proud of this! We look so young. It was before Pat and I were married. This was my first show ever in Germany and I went back for tours several times. It was the first time I shared the stage with Tommy. Pat and I didn't know he was going to appear at the show. I eventually did three Christmas tours with him. It's soooo fantastic to peer at this again and be proud of the way I sang it. Thank you for your comment. Have a wonderful 2023.

Nicely done. Always love this song done simply without excessive embellishment. All the sentiment of the song is intact. I like Norah Jones but now I hear so many singers sing "Nearness..." with her substitutions and to me they're ugly. Being a sideman for jazz vocalists I get to play it over and over again and cringe every time I hear the Norah Jones representation of the song. I like your take on the song MUCH better.

Tommy ruined it. Excellent vocals and comping on the Tele. But the flippant just couldn't shut up. Nevertheless very inspirational.
