Sellier & Bellot 22 LR Test

Czechoslovakian Military Sellier & Bellot Brand Target Grade .22 long rifle ammunition. Manufactured 1980's by Sellier & Bellot for the Czech Military. Standard Velocity with a Wax Coated Lead Bullet and Eley Primed.

I have had extremely good luck with the newer SB 22 long rifle Club in all my 22 rifles. In some cases, it holds tighter goups than so called match ammunition. If you examine the manufacturing specifications, the reason becomes evident as long as your barrel "likes" the ammunition and has been seasoned with the lubricant.

Very accurate and reliable ammo. Very stable during flight. This is a standard velocity ammo perfect for bolt rifle. For semi guns, get something that is 1200+ fps. Excellent penetration on medium n small size game. *just make sure the ammo was not stored at the bottom of yhe lake. Otherwise, you’ll have similar experience as in the previous comment*

About one in five smoked and didn't move the bullet..............hotter than hell trying to get them out of the guns............a Beretta Mod. 70 S pistol and a Ruger 77/22 rifle. Never saw anything like that. Had misfires before, but not burning powder in the chamber. On some the rims were separated from the bullet casing.

Did I miss something? 25 shots, but only 22 in flight. What happened to the other three?

I had abox of these every third round blew up in the gun

It's decent ammo, but it's very dirty. My swabs come out black after running them through the barrel.
