Folks, I believe that is Gary's father in the "background"... now I understand all the praise for Gary, but give credit to the man who started the wine business from nothing, the senior Mr Vaynerchuk... Gary was still sitting in a classroom doing homework assignments while his father was building a successful business on his own, a self-made man with an incredible work ethic.... I do not see one comment here praising the senior Mr Vaynerchuck, the person who started it all and eventually allowed his son Gary to take a successful business and build upon it... let's keep things in perspective.

GV's tender moments with Sasha - love it. I could never work in a wine store - I'm too much of a klutz to be in a store full of glass.

I had a short business stride where I hand designed these leggings. They were such a statement piece that the buyers didn't know how to style around it. So with every purchase, which was usually in person at a pop-up shop, I'd talk to the customer for a few minutes to get to know them. I'd get their name and email - and then design a Pinterest board on various ways to style their leggings in accordance to their personality. They LOVED IT! And I was proud that I was able to see this reoccurring question and do something about it, that was personal.

Gary is totally right in what he was saying, not every interaction with a customer or potential customer needs to be about making a sale. It's about reaching out to them and providing value, about building a relationship. Hey Gary! For Wine Library, I think it would be interesting if you implemented a wine tasting tour. Engage with these consumers in a personal way. Create the relationship where they feel they know the people at Wine Library. Maybe this can convert the people that never ordered wine on the internet and develop long term business with the people that do.

Any advice for how to adjust to working 18 hours a day? I decided not to go to university this year so i could start my graphic design business and move out of my parents house. I have to hold down a job at a factory for at least 5 months and I'm questioning if i have the mental strength to work that many hours. Also, this comes from a person who was previously depressed and just laid in bed just thinking and scheming all day
@rebelcode76978 жыл бұрын
i relate to you sir. the mentality is important. i try to eat better, exercise meditate
@michaelmalaxos62208 жыл бұрын
Idk maybe build up to it? Like 10h a day for 2 weeks or somethin then 11 for 2 then so on?
@arielbenavidez95808 жыл бұрын
The simple approach (simple, not easy) is to start from your current work hours, and progressively increase it daily until you reach 18hrs. Keep in mind that once you reach it, it'll leave you with a total of 6hrs to eat sleep shower and exercise. At a minimum eat and sleep. Is that sustainable for you? I'm big on time management, hit me up and we could chat some more, possibly work out a plan that pushes your limits without overstretching. Cheers :)
@MRSketch098 жыл бұрын
I've got some advice for you because I can actually relate. It's simple... don't cheat yourself on sleep and track your time, so that you use it wisely. When you cheat yourself on sleep, and your going to be doing physical labor.. all problems just compound and bite you in the ass. Also good luck. Having a goal your working toward will probably help you a lot in guiding you. As far as money goes, one way to save is prepare your lunches for the week, and just cook it all in batches. Also get systems in place for yourself to help you be more efficient. That kind of stuff.
@Wirelesstaco8 жыл бұрын
The only way that kind of load is sustainable is if you actually love the work. It's got to be what fuels you what fills you up. If its just work, it will burn you out and you will be miserable. That's not to say crunching down for a few weeks in order to achieve something that will Ultimately make your life better is still an option. Focus on loving ever day and do what allows you to have the most total net happiness.
