As a long time Rennie I must say, ALWAYS bring more food and water than you think you need. Something about being outdoors all day will make you ravenous! I also like to being water heavy snacks like grapes, cucumber spears, fruit salad, etc. Particularly on hot days it helps keep you hydrated and fueled up. I also bring some kind of healthy carb like pasta salad, rice, etc. To help keep my hunger satiated. I am vegan so I bring lots of food with me to make sure I have plenty to eat. I am also a dancer at faire so I do get a faire amount of exercise and need to stay fueled up 😅. Always try to have a day "off" after faire because it really is exhausting!

This is all super helpful thank you! I'm vegetarian myself so it can be hard to get good food while at the faire. I just about lived off of pretzels from the pretzel vendor lmao.

I just started my woodworking business this month. I have always wanted to make things for people and bring it to a Renaissance festival to sell/trade. I'm at my "regular" work just listening to your amazing success smiling the whole time. Just saw you for the first time today. I loved your video. You're so open in describing how you're feeling at the moment which makes the viewer ( me ) really feel like I'm kinda on the journey with you - very cool. I love anything involving ren fairs I attended the Carolina ren fair multiple times a year for like 25 years but have been living in another country with my children and mother for 5 years so I miss ren fairs like CRAZY. Anyways, I'm so looking foreword to seeing more of your vids and hope you always keep your amazing style of vlogging describing your feelings in the moment. As a long time Faire goer who has now become a worker at several, check in with whomever is in charge of booths and ask if they have anyone running breaks or if they have volunteer spots. Volunteer spots have people standing or sitting around. I know our break girl charges 30 for the day. And comes around every 4 hours for us.

Im so glad to see younger people getting into faire! I've been a vendor before in California faires, Valhalla is coming back!!! So excited. Also, id recommended learning just a few of the slang words like good morrow instead of hello. You will catch up on some of the lingo the more faires you go to. Bring a small ice chest with food.. baked potatoe

I would actually really like if you broke down your costs and materials and taxes. Since I'm building a jewelry collection and I'm truely confused. I know some of my cost but since I'm using clay it's hard to really know how much I use. I also don't know my selling price and I wonder how do you decide how much to charge. This was a great vlog I'm so glad I subscribed ! :)

Hey! I also started selling at the Renn Faire in OR and WA and they’re really strict about decorating tents so nothing modern is showing, does this one not??

This one did have rules for making your tent look as Renaissance as possible, but the rules weren’t really enforced too much. I did my best to make mine look on theme with the supplies I had, hopefully I’ll get better at it for next events!
