Sell your gold/silver to your mates at the current commercial retail 'purchase' price. It is what it would cost them anyway, and you get back close to what you paid (even if it is silver at 20% vat)

I've sold gold on each peak over the past three years and always sold peer to peer via the multiple precious metals platforms. Never sold gold to my local coin shop as he pays 30% under spot. Great place to buy though as he sells most of it at spot.

Our bank has just refused a transaction to The Pure Gold Company calling them a dangerous and risky company. We have politely told them we wish to proceed with the transaction. They have now blocked our account so we have no access whatsoever to our money. We can only pay the utility companies because those accounts have been set up. How do we get around this?

We have just had another phone call with Nationwide who told us that Pure Gold was a legitimate company but they will not allow transactions with them for our own safety!!!. Lots of excuses followed so we said we would be closing the account down. Only problem is we don’t use mobile phones. Can I download the app on my Ipad?

@@diandimitrov642 it will happen to you. We have been told they will not acknowledge this company. I have on good authority that they are not the only building society/bank doing this. It seems the banking system is now becoming very concerned that people are not happy with CBDCs and are protecting their wealth.

Do you trust these companies to keep your gold in storage? I'd like to buy a good amount but equally don't want to risk it coming in the post and would like it stored safely somewhere.

For a substantial portfolio - storage is a must, you cannot keep such value in your house. But it is your risk & due diligence which must be assessed. Storage is more easily raided by government than your home, but if we are going down that path neither are 100% safe. Diversifying storage spreads risk, as I do myself. On your other point, postage is fully insured, signed for and discreetly delivered for both Pure Gold & Baird. So you can receive your coins with insurance they are delivered with no one knowing.
