Miranda, my children are grown and out on their own. My husband and I have decided it is time to let all their things to go. I have a problem with emotional attachment to many things. Lol. They energy in our home is so different. We even feel the difference in ourselves with the clutter going out the door. Mind you we have three grandchildren. So we have their belongings here for when they visit. Once everything is gone. It will be new flooring and painting through out the house. A fresh start. I am excited for everyone to have their own space. You and Curtis will love it. Blessings ❤

Feels good to have a clearout, I have them 3 times a year. When you said it will be their lounge, I was thinking ooh a new place for another Christmas tree, lol! Our Christmas and autumn things are out in the shops here in the UK and its lovely. Favourite time of the year! ❤

Such a relief doing a big clear out. I did this recently with my son. I myself also cleaned out all my purse collection down to a few. I bought trying to fill a void that never got filled. So good to see all of you this morning! I just have to know .... did you keep anything, just for you, to remind you of the kiddos when they were little? I did a big purge when my youngest grandchild entered 4th grade - the kids weren't coming over quite as often and were much more interested in doing things with me instead of just playing when they did come spend time here. It was exciting, a little emotional (if I'm being honest) but so well worth it! I now have a room set up for them with tv, gaming consoles, movies, etc. and they have started coming over with friends to spend time! I did keep a couple of stuffies that my granddaughter was attached to as a little and the pedal firetruck that my grandson was always glued to but thats it! I'm trying to figure out how to best to display the firetruck (thinking of hanging it from the ceiling) as it goes with the decor in the room now. We have an entire wall of replica metal signs - everything from a Route 66 sign to a life-size guitar advertisement for Fender guitars! They've enjoyed helping me find/collect them and have even bought a few with their own money to bring over and add to the wall! Anyway .... can't wait to see what ya'll do with the new tween/teen rec room! As always, sending you much love and lots of virtual hugs from way down here in Central Texas! ❤❤❤
