I'm looking forward to the days when I can justify the cost of trying to sell my books at a market or festival like that. I mean my books don't match the theme but still maybe one day I'll write some that do LOL

It's so hard sometimes because there are significant costs up front and then you don't know if you'll definitely make that money back. I think you've got to go into it aware that it might end up being more about profile raising than making money. That way expectations are managed. There are also lots of different markets and events you can do with any book you write - doesn't have to be a historic book like mine. Good luck with your projects!

Looks like you both had a lovely time at the market, getting out there and getting some interest etc. Have you considered Darling Reads in Horbury? They do author talks, signings quite often. My sister and I would defo come along and support! :)
