The game is based on how you want to play it. Go through the community center route for your first play through, at first you’ll get quests once in awhile to help you along. My main points are: make friends, grow cops, have animals, and collect items for the community center. The Stardew Valley Wiki is your best friend. 💗

I tried to play and quit because it felt overwhelming. I went back later with the mindset that you can do as much or as little as you want. Don’t try to rush or cram in too much when you are starting.

i bought it almost a month ago and i’m addicted. you can kind of play it however you want and take as much time as you need for most things. i’ve been trying to figure everything out by myself to experience it first, but the stardew wiki is incredibly detailed and incredibly helpful if you ever get stuck
