Can I ask for advice? I have a farm, and want to buy a "used 30-yard dumpster". I just want it to sit on the farm to "load at my own pace". I might only empty it 2 times a year locally. And maybe I could sell it back to somebody in 6-8 years. It would just help me so much to have a dumpster on my property to slowly get rid of garbage that is all over the property (we're renovating a 75 acre farm). What would you do? First you’ll want to find a service provider to know who can actually pick it up and dump it from time to time. There is a variety of lifting systems and rail widths/lengths. Buy a dumpster used is pretty simple once you know what you need. You can find them in the roll off groups on Facebook or even call some companies that have been around a while and try to buy one of their older ones. Just be aware if it’s sitting in a field for 12 months a year it’ll rust much faster. Ideally you’ll want it on blocks or something to slow the rusting down.
