I know that Discogs is primarily a DB site... but C'MON!! I NEED A VIDEO ON SHIPPING POLICIES!! All it says is "This shipping policy is incomplete, it is missing one shipping method that covers: All Order values - The value in the "Order subtotal must be at least / under" field should be set to 0."! I don't know what I'm doing!!

Yes I agree!! I can't post anything for sale because I can't figure out how to set up the shipping cost. The website is NOT user-friendly at all for people who are trying to sell stuff!!

This doesn't show me how to post something for sale on Discogs. I've tried so many times and I can't get past the part where I'm suppose to calculate the shipping cost. I don't get. it. It's just not working. It's so confusing.

I appreciate your time and effort but this video tells me NOTHING! LOL. Setting up the shipping policy on Discogs is a NIGHTMARE!! That's part I can't figure out, and I can't post anything for sale until I fill out all that stuff first.... but the website won't let me do it!! SO confusing!

Fair point. It is confusing. Keep in mind Discogs is primarily a database. The marketplace is a side benefit, not the main purpose of the website, so features will be limited. Here is my Discogs shipping policy. I kept it very simple: "Buyer pays shipping. $5 for first item, $1 each additional item." The great thing is, if your record sells internationally, Discogs will allow you to charge adequately for international shipping, so you're not stuck with the $5 payment to cover a $20 shipping charge.

This is the question I asked - How do you change the status of an order on Discogs? It's not covered in this video.

Status changes automatically. When a buyer places an order, Discogs sends them an invoice and the status is marked "Invoice Sent." When they pay, status changes to "Payment Received." When you ship, status is changed to "Shipped." You don't need to manually change it.

Probably not if there are copies available for sale.

@@TheSourcersApprentice Ah, I hadn't considered the number of copies for sale. If there are few though, I think the rarity plays into it. If there are a bunch then we might assume nobody wants it. There are records I read about going for crazy money, and I wonder if sellers seeing and reading the same stories then assume a fluke lucky sale is the "new" price. Then one learns whether the market will support it, or if too many people want too much for records that don't move. Thanks for replying.

F&^% Discogs! Just use eBay, soooo much easier! Setting up the account and shipping section on Discogs sucks! I gave up. Setting up the shipping policy on Discogs is a NIGHTMARE!! This video was worthless.
