I had a retail shop last year that ultimately just got overwhelmed with overhead and we shut down. Stepping back, we reorganized and opened a booth in a local market in NW Florida. We’ve been at it since September and it has really been more efficient than our store, save some minor difficulties because we’re not present in the booth day to day. We started out in 1 booth and got up to 4 until a big booth became available and it’s a more cohesive collection of anime, games, movies and the like. Best of luck on your booth adventure and I’ll have to check it out next time I’m heading to Atlanta later this year!

Retro Rick needs to have his own booth at one of the flea markets close to his store that he’s visited before (filled with the things from his storage units). His store is kind of full, but he’s rearranged it a ton to make it more inviting.

I wish we had a antique mall / flea market like that here. If we did i'd be set up there myself. We've never had a place like that here .... we've had something a long ten same lines but small and nowhere near the same quality as that. That's a pretty awesome vendor mall and also a great booth too.

My wife and I use to have a booth at a set up like this. We did real good. Only negative side was theft. Even though there were cameras - stuff was coming up missing all the time. Best of luck! I go through Tunnel Hill serveral times a year. I will stop and check it out.

Yeah theft is an unfortunate side effect for this. So far I have not noticed anything missing thankfully

You should add some lighting to your booth and maybe some retro posters to cover some of the bare walls, aside from that great inventory and very well organized, peeked my interest with those MASS EFFECT BOOKS

Yeah the booth is still a work in progress we make upgrades every month. The lighting is a tough one though cause we don't really have any control over it. For the wall my hope is to fill it with pegboard and put up some pegboard shelving to fill with inventory

I want to collect some more memorabilia from the 80's and 90's. I'd like to collect He-Man action figures because I watched it as a toddler in the mid-80's. I also like WWF figures and ET items.

I do the same thing. In the Foundry in Jacksonville NC. Word of advise, invest in good locking cases and cameras. Had a problem with theft for a little while.

Thankfully theft is not much of an issue there since there are cameras and employees. But I don't sell anything pricey at the booth, if I ever do I will put in a glass case

Nice booth man! Glad to hear you’re having success with it. Definitely wise to price everything under eBay and incentivize people to buy from you instead. I frequent a couple of different antique malls and see the *same stuff* at the same booths every time I go because it’s all overpriced. It’s cool stuff, just way cheaper online. No idea how these guys make ANY money 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are cameras and plenty of employees in the building working. So theft isn't much of an issue
