Selvaraghavan is so ambitious. Tamil industry should use directors like him to produce great movies. Look at the content of south Korean films, they are great. Often even Hollywood takes references from their movie. Its pity once Tamil industry was producing great films now its completely ruled by money minded people. Make masala film with top starts and get quick money. Nothing special.. Selvaraghavan is right, even he said this 6 years back..

He really should be appreciated more for his work and for his character. It's a pity that Aayirathil Oruvan didn't make it commercially and Puthuppettai wasn't recognized by any awards. They're both a class apart from the films that were being made at that time, as is most of his films. But nadoole bayangara adhangathule pesittaru. Yes, Tamil cinema still has heroes dancing around trees, but it encourages a lot more alternative films than any other commercially viable industry in India.
