I"m a HUGE fan of Tekton. 90% of my wrenches and ratchets are Tekton in my shop. I buy Knipex pliers cuz they're superior.

As a diesel tech, I love my tekton wrenches. I must say tho, I wanna start seeing their stuff start coming in trays. Screwdriver sets, wrench sets etc. Let's step it up.

@UCJAtMHLEwpbmr2sAWD9SiMA .. Most of there tools are made in Taiwan, not China. That's a big difference. Taiwan is a USA allies
@strikeforcek9149
@strikeforcek9149 2 жыл бұрын
@Dick Trickles why can't they make 100% of their products in the US? Because they're a small family owned and operated company out of Michigan and the only way to compete in the high quality tool market is to be able to competitively price with the others of their caliber. If they started straight at 100% US production they'd have SnapOn level pricing, and no one other than hardcore fanboys or garage Divas can rationalize spending that much on tools. The other 90% of the country just want good, affordable, reliable tools with a solid lifetime warranty at a decent price.
@strikeforcek9149
@strikeforcek9149 2 жыл бұрын
@Dick Trickles ... none of their tools are made in China... You're making a TON of assumptions, without doing any actual research or actual facts behind the stuff you're trying to spew out. Tekton tools are LEAGUES ahead of anything you can buy at Harbor Freight and are more along the lines of USA Craftsman, Williams, SK, and other industrial tool brands. A good deal of their stuff is actually even better than the tool truck guys (their twist lock socket trays for example). That's why they're growing so rapidly compared to where they were just a couple years ago in the market.

I want ergo grip and locking flex head ratchets. Tekton could change the entire industry if they had more tool truck options. More USA products would also go a long way. They need to rebrand their USA line as Tekton Pro or something and keep the Taiwan line as regular Tekton.

I actually suggested that 2 years ago to them and customer support said they have no plans for anything of that sorts. And that they're going to continue producing and selling what makes sense and what is cost efficient but still with quality

I am a self admitted Snap On junkie. That being said, I have started buying Tekton USA tools for my mobile cart and I love them!!! I also have Tekton USA on my service truck. Please manufacture more of your quality tools in the USA!! Tekton could put the tool trucks out of business if they made all of their tools in the USA!!

We need local stores to start carrying tekton tools, that way we can get tools warranty. I think that's one of the biggest issues with hand tools sometimes it's a pain to get a simple wrench or socket warranty

Good tools I've used the sockets for awhile now. That said I dont know if they are really any better than Pittsburgh pro line...side by side they seem close in quality. Pittsburgh 12 points are definitely cheaper but I've never had one cause any issues either.
