Es que has ido a ver la procesión más fea de todas, lo siento por ellos pero es así. - Mira la Hermandad del Cristo Yacente y de la Agonía Redentora, el Cristo de la Liberación con tallas de pelo natural imberbes de hace quinientos años. - Amor y Paz con hábitos monacales blancos, faroles y carracas cruzando el Puente Romano al atardecer. - Despojado poniendo el toque pomposo con inspiración sevillana. - La Soledad con luto total, marchas fúnebres y con las calles abarrotadas y un silencio sepulcral. - La Dominicana que es nuestra particular "Madrugá". - Cristo Yacente de la Liberación: penitentes separados por sexos, ellos con traje monacal negro de cola y ellas con el traje típico de luto de la Sierra de Francia de madrugada entre la niebla celebrando el entierro por las calles más desiertas del antiguo Barrio Chino. Aunque hay muchísimas más que merecen la pena. Esas sí merecen mucho la pena, por algo la Semana Santa de Salamanca está declarada de Interés Turístico Internacional.

Soy ateo, pero te voy a recomendar una serie de tallas que salen en la Semana de Pasión de Salamanca que ponen los pelos de punta a cualquiera. - Santísimo Cristo de la Agonía Redentora. Imagen del s. XV, (ahí es nada). Sin barba, boca entreabierta, ojos entornados, venas extremadamente marcadas y melena de pelo natural con corona de plata. - Jesús Flagelado (Luis Salvador Carmona - 1760). - La Piedad de la Hdad. Dominicana (Luis Salvador Carmona - 1760). Inspirada en la Piedad de Miguel Ángel. - Jesús Despojado (Romero Zafra - 2012). Inspiración sevillana con gran dulzura. - Nuestra Señora de la Soledad (Mariano Benlliure - 1941). La más querida en Salamanca y el rostro de una virgen ya adulta y serena aunque triste. - Jesús Nazareno en la Calle de la Amargura (José de Churriguera - 1716). Destaca por su gran túnica bordada pero especialmente por su mirada dulce pero que atraviesa. - María Dolorosa (Soriano Montagut - 1939) con cara aniñada, coloretes y labios carnosos. - Santísimo Cristo de la Liberación (Vicente Cid - 1988). Escultura maciza de Cristo ya muerto en horizontal con gran realismo y una rosa negra brotando de la sangre de su mano. Esta procesión se acompaña con cantos gregorianos, hábito monacal para ellos y traje típico de luto de la Sierra de Francia para ellas. Y muchas más, además de la combinación entre tallas espectaculares y la piedra dorada de Villamayor de noche en las calles del casco histórico Patrimonio de la Humanidad y Ciudad Europea de la Cultura.
