YEAH I AGREE..... I'm Chinese myself. Although there are many European clubs with foreign players who does most of the goal scoring I prefer it it was local players who made these goals. In 2005 AFC the Shenzen Jianliao made it to semi final but all are chinese players

Kashiwa was the only team (among those that reached the ACL semi-finals) that exhausted themselves by playing a league match last weekend. Kashiwa's coach blamed on the J-league committee for not allowing them postpone the league match. Usually Kashiwa is as good as Jeonbuk Hyundai, who, even without its manager, managed to hold their own against Guangzhou with 2 draws 0-0, 1-1 in the Group Stages.

Guangzhou renagade is richest football club in Asia. It has some of the world greatest players. But I would rather prefer it if was local plays like Shenzen Jianliao who made in semi finals
@wonjinum225811 жыл бұрын
You're right. A lot of the Asian clubs do not have a financial budget like Evergrande, but Chinese football in general will not get any better. Pohang Steelers are utilizing their youth players which will be better for them in the future while Evergrande will be looking for replacements every 2 years or so.
@Ketston11 жыл бұрын
And stop saying that 4 foreign players striked, last year bayern munchen defeates borussia dortmund with a gol striked by robben (netherland) and one by Mandzukic (croatia). The year before chelsea won the champions league with only 3 english players. So, what are we talking about?!?

It's at the club level. Nowadays the success of a club can't be without good commercial operation. Do you agree? And I don't think that Korean clubs such as Pohang Steelers not having foreign players is because these clubs are so confident of their local players, it's just because nowadays Korean clubs don't have enough financial budget. They DO also want considerable foreign players like Conca, Elkeson and Cleo.

If any team in Asia plays against guanzho, it will be destroyed. even Ittihad when guanzho was not as strong as now it was the best. But now this team deserves the cup. I am a fan of Al-shabab, but I am happy that we didn't play against guanzho if we qualified to the semi-final.

With all due respect good luck to those young Koreans in prestigious youth academies overseas. I hope for the sake of Asian football they're able to make something of themselves. Having said that, looking at the way, a lot of the top European clubs treat Asian players (e.g. Kagawa, Park Chu Young etc.; with Park Ji Sung being the exception) it would be incredible if the players you've mentioned becomes the next Ronaldo, Messi, etc. (cont.)

Not gonna deny that korean footballs better than chinese football as of now. These two countries have different football cultures and values. As of now, using money to buy powerful foreign players is a good way to stimulate domestic players, which will in turn, boost their own skill levels. Korean players are already good in the sense that they're as good as their foreign players, but China has to build up to that through working with foreign players and learning their technique. You're right.
@simbaxyk11 жыл бұрын
Same logic, would Evergrande be this strong if they didn't have competent domestic players like Zhang Linpeng, Gao Lin and Huang Bowen? I think Evergrande's success is because they have brilliant foreign strikers, while they also have good domestic players who can make good assist and operation on the field. Btw they also have world-class coaching team.
@simbaxyk11 жыл бұрын
There's another Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, once they also have been rich and they introduced Anelka and Drogba from Chelsea. But Shanghai Shenhua couldn't make good operation, they still played poorly and were criticized by Chinese media and fans. In contrast, Guangzhou Evergrande is totally different. Most decisions made by the club are correct. Now they are on their way to make greater success.

the fans here are Guangzhou Evergrande fans, not national team fans, they cheer for their club, not for the national team. what's the point of making silly discursive comments against foreign players scoring in a club game ?????? @simbaxyk11 жыл бұрын
And you said Bayern Munich has German players who can carry the team, then I wanna ask: if without Ribéry (France), Mandžukić (Croatia), Robben (Holland), Pizarro (Peru), etc, will Bayern Munich still be competitive in Europe? If FC Barcelona's without Messi (Argentina), how many matches would Barça have lost? How many times has Messi saved Barça? Do you know what is called a "professional football club"?

Well as of now yes you're right seoul is ahead of guangzhou in its production of youth. But just recently GZ opened the largest football school in the school in conjunction with real madrid (their coaches come to coach), and has over two thousands kids in it. with world class coaches, if one twentieth of these kids become successful in the future, thats 100 talents for chinese football. I'm not boasting about this, just saying in response to your assumption that GZ neglects youth systems.

The management of Shanghai Shenhua was flawed. It all started with their chairman Zhu Jun, who had absolutely no clue what he was doing. They were already in debt before they even bought Anelka and Drogba. Also the 4 previous managers they had also had no idea what they were doing. If you are going to compare CSL clubs compare Evergrande to Beijing Guoan. They are doing something right. They don't even need to splash cash.
@Ahmad07ALGhamdi11 жыл бұрын
I disagree with you. Arab clubs can not defeat Guangzhou, because it is a strong club. even the Ittihad beat it after a strong effort !
@2009xellos11 жыл бұрын
Same with FC Seoul. They have foreign players, but they don't dominate; skill levels of domestic & foreign players are pretty balanced. Spending much money on foreign players have only temporary effect on the development of your country's football. the Evergrande company can't keep up with that spending forever. Sooner or later China's domestic players will have to replace Elkeson, Conca. What lays a foundation for a club or league is its youth systems etc.
@wonjinum225811 жыл бұрын
Please don't assume who is the best player in teams esp. if you never seen any of their matches. Dejan, as of right now, is not the best player for FC Seoul.

Evergrande also has its youth training system, but it's just at its beginning. The club has invested largely on the youth training system and has some cooperation with European clubs such as Real Madrid. Now many coaches in Evergrande's youth training system are from Real Madrid. watch?v=lkjnsvuLHp4
@2009xellos11 жыл бұрын
Messi was trained under the Barcelona youth system. So are Xavi, Iniesta, who are of Spanish origin, Barca's aces. Guangzhou's foreign players dominate all their games, seeing these ACL hightlights it looks as if Guangzhou is entirely made up of foreign players. Domestic players seem to be taking no part. In K-league, Seoul is often criticized by other teams' fans for depending too much on foreign players, but actually, their dependence on foreign players is nothing compared to Guangzhou's.

Gao Lin and Huang Bowen. They're not really that impressive. The player that can fit into your category of "good" players in Evergrande is Zhang Linpeng. He and Kim are the only players to play all games this season for Evergrande. Also without money, Evergrande would never have hired Lippi and co. You can't compare the budget of other Asian clubs with the CSL teams. It's just unfair.

Those Euro youth training systems are everywhere in Asia. It doesn't matter if those youth players go through Euro youth system that are stationed in Asia esp. if they can't crack the first team in Evergrande. Also those Euro youth systems are nothing compared to the ones in Spain. Those kids will not make it to the Real Madrid reserve squad. Takefusa Kubo, Lee Seung-Woo, Paik Seung-Ho and Jang Gyeol-Hee those guys are in the real youth system for Barcelona stationed in Spain.

I think China also needs teams like Atletico Bilbao (the team in La Liga that is entirely composed of local Basque players). Korea has one. It's Pohang Steelers, the team in AFC with the most ACL titles (3) it's also currently at the first place of K-league. Surprisingly the team is ENTIRELY made up of Koreans. More than 60% of the players were raised under the Pohang youth system. This is what makes the Korean national team strong compared to other AFC countries.

Sure Guangzhou has shitload of money, but it hasn't really done anything other than buying players, if it keeps neglecting the importance of youth systems, it can be like Manchester City, but it will not become like Barcelona. Seoul is way ahead of Guangzhou in this department. Lee Chung Yong, Ki Sung Yong (who currently play in EPL) were raised under the FC Seoul youth system, also players such as Koh Myung Jin who scored with the amazing long range kick vs Jiangsu Sainty watch?v=v72D03hqQU0

It's a club, it's business, what's the big deal about building up a team with good foreign players and coach if you have the money? Look at all the cash teams, Real Madrid, Man City, Chelsea, Pairs, I don't see many locals players score for those teams. Should Catalans feel shame at an Argentine scored hat tricks for them in the European Champions League? What about those rich Russian and Middle East bosses? The grapes are sour anyway! No chinese player ever scores for Guangzhou...It's always the foreigners. who score, on the other hand, look at Seoul for example. It's not Dejan who always scores, besides him, Koh Myung Jin, Yoon Il Lok, Koh Yohan are also good scorers, even though they're midfielders, also, MJ, YH have been Seoul players since their youth. and the last line about, plastic surgery is funny, there are far more people in China who had some form of plastic surgery than the entire population of korea lol.
