How to Share PlayStation Plus on PS5! (EASY) (2024) | SCG

I made a mistake during this tutorial and used Rocket League as an example of PS Plus working with the alternate account. Rocket League does not require PS Plus to go online so my "proof" of functioning PS Plus wasn't a really good example. That being said, everything in this tutorial still works and will let you share PS Plus with other users and consoles. I apologize for the mistake and confusion.

This worked for me I needed to share my ps plus with my son. I logged into his ps5 and signed in with my details then transferred all my games to his console on a hard drive. All done and he’s up and running 👌 thanks for the content.

My guy, just wow, what an explanation. So detailed. And what helps so much is that what you show on screen actually helps and is coordinated with what you are saying. As long your using the same console with the other different accounts you shouldn’t have a problem playing on any account with the plus extra games or premium as long the account that has extra or premium is on that console I never heard of you need to share the account if the accounts are logged in you shouldn’t have a problem but if you don’t have any accounts on that console you put them on a different console then you might have a problem with sharing the games I have a Chinese Japanese account cause I bought Japanese games and one Chinese game my main account is the American that’s the one that I pay for

U can still do it guys.. Basically, if the primary PS is on ur friend PS5, u can only play on your account on ur PS5 right? Not ur second account(if u need sec acc) Now, on ur PS5, enable console share, and jump on to ur second account, after that, stay on ur second account, while ur friend, enable it again on their PS5, u can enjoy ps plus game, playing on ur sec acc(dont jump out from that acc, or when u comeback, the game back to being lock.. can work both ways. No, can't share ps+ games, only multiplayer working.

yes you can share ps+ games and all games that you own on your account. for Ps+ games (and all games on your account) he just needs to go into your account on his console and just look for games and download them. then he just switches to his account and play them. your friend can download any game he wants on his console and you don't need to have it on your console.

Great tutorial. Just for clarification -- Once I've made my account primary on my friends account, and he logs in under his own profile can we play different games online at the same time with my PS+ subscription, i.e. I play CoD multiplayer online on my PS5 while he plays GTA or some other multiplayer game online on his PS5? This would avoid requiring both of us to purchase PS+ subscriptions. Thanks for any insight you can share.

Yes you are correct. As long as you are using separate accounts you can both play games, online or offline, at the same time.

There is no limit to the number of consoles that can have your games downloaded on them. However only two users can be playing your games at once.

So my son and I both have Playstation 5's. We both have eachothers account connected both have PS Plus. We also buy on both accounts but play together on a few games. I have it set to where I'm primary on the console I make purchases on, and his account is primary on his console where we make purchases for him on. Now I have been paying for two separate plus memberships as well as quite a bit of other content. Is it better to have us both primary on one, or have our primary consoles be eachothers? Sorry I'm just a little confused, and if I can save by making it possible to make one purchase on either system for both of us to get the benefits on both accounts for either playstation, I'd love that! What is the recommendation?

I understood that if I want to share my games with a friend, then I would have to *disable* sharing on my console and (after logging in with my profile on his console) I would need to *enable* sharing on his console... and then leave it like that. My questions are: 1) Does the sharing have to stay "forever" like that in our consoles (i.e. *disabled* in mine and *enabled* in his)? 2) What if he wants to share his games with me? Would he need to do the same process the other way around, i.e. *disable* sharing in his console, then logging in with his profile on my console, and then *enabling* sharing on mine? To answer your first question: As long as you want to share your games with your friend, your account has to have sharing enabled. To answer your second question: You are correct. In order to get his games you would need to the process in reverse

So (for my second question), since by me seeing his games he would need to put *his* console in DISABLED and I'd need to put mine in ENABLED, wouldn't this mean that when this is set up as such he would not be able to see my games (because, as you pointed out in my first question, for him to see my games my console would need to be DISABLED and his ENABLED)? I guess that the bottom line is: is it possible for *both* of us to access each others' libraries? No you would have to cancel the membership on the first account and subscribe on the second account. There is no way that i know of to transfer a PS plus membership from one account to another

Region settings mainly apply to the account itself. You should be able to share games and download them. The only issue would be going online with your user. Certain games may also not be playable.

You can share between two consoles total. All the users on the PS5 with console sharing enabled will have access to the shared games. Only the user that owns the games will have access to them on the PS5 without console sharing

I am going to setup my gf's younger brother's ps5 as my home console (I also have PS5). But I will be locking my user profile on his ps5 - it will require password to access the profile which he won't have access to (he is younger and only will play E rated games etc.).
