Semiconductor Devices: LED Plots by Color

Shakespeare never said "A diode is a diode is a diode". And for good reason, not the least of which is that they were invented centuries after he died. All diodes are not created equal. Other than the obvious emission of light, how different is the average LED from a typical switching diode? We investigate with a few voltage-current plots.

Not so important to the VI curve, but the Cf is kind of interesting in fast PWM, and in high frame rate illumination... When we use a constant current driver for the LED, it limits how fast the optical output ramps up. There are lots of interesting things to talk about with LEDs 😎

Can I make a request? 🙏🙏🙏 Can you please make new videos about CMOS analog switches like LR1551 and LR1553 which are heavily used in car 360 camera systems? They are used to switch between different video input sources. I really want to know how does the switching takes place.
