Not necessarily. ASMR is typically either whispered or soft-spoken, as seen in this video. Sometimes there's no speech at all, and they'll focus on something like light triggers or tapping. Every listener has their preferences. Personally, I get more tingles from soft-spoken ASMR than I do when it's whispered
