About Osteopore
Osteopore products are developed and manufactured using state of the art technology, and strictly adhere to all the international quality standards to ensure the delivery of safe and effective innovative clinical solutions.
In 1996, a team of biomaterial engineers in Singapore initiated research of a novel 3D manufacturing platform to produce tissue scaffolds. The company has gained global recognition for the innovative engineering for development of new tissue engineering solutions to meet medical implant needs.
The advent of tissue engineering has provided a paradigm shift in treatment options to meet the needs of orthopaedic and plastic-reconstructive surgeons as alternates to permanent and autograft implants. The clinical needs addressed are the provision of a tissue engineered scaffolds that allow complete tissue regeneration, whilst providing appropriate load bearing structural integrity, and the avoidance of the complications of patient grafts and permanent implants.
The Osteopore products are composed of an FDA approved and clinically proven resorbable polymer ( polycaprolactone- PCL) . PCL has the characteristics of a predictable resorption profile and malleability, whilst providing mechanical strength similar to trabecular bone.
