What an unnecessary exposition. This person is not an accomplished teacher. His learning is academic and not spiritual, his attachments are so ingrained he is merely an actor playing the role of a Bhikkhu.

What you're saying is, this is the teacher Bhante Sujato, a respected and famous teacher ordained into the Thai forest lineage of Ajahn Chah. He has significant merit in translating ancient Buddhist texts into English, especially Pali texts, and he is the founder of one of the largest Buddhist websites. Please show some respect. He is known for his direct explanations. And how can you say he lacks spiritual understanding? That's not polite. How do you expect him to explain a spiritual experience to you? That's impossible. Spiritual experiences are lived, not explained.
