Hi Marjon! thank you so much! yes, fennel has incredible properties and a lovely flavor ;-) I always prefer using old home remedies before proceeding with any medicine. I like your idea of "grandma remedies", thanks! I'll start making a list of them and it will be interesting to share with all of you your personal grandma remedies!!

Than you for the recipe, it is really hard to think of what to cook for my 8 month old son. He loved this soup, gobbled it up without any fuss :). I gave him the soup before going to bed and he slept better too, I don't know if that's only an coincidence, but a pleasant one, after all :D.

Yummy, another nice winter warmer :) I never knew all that about fennel seeds! I have seen them in the store and I think I might have to try them for the occasional tummy upset or cold, very good to know, I always like the good old home remedies!! Maybe you can do an episode about all the great home remedies you mum and grandmother no doubt told you about!! That would be so interesting! Hope your boys feel better soon :) xxx Marjon

Thank you to you!! I'm always super duper happy when somebody likes a video. I love sharing my recipes and I'm glad somebody else will enjoy them! Luca is 2 1/2 now and Alex will arrive soon. Cooking for a baby+toddler+the rest of the family is not like cooking for a couple, everybody has a different need. Nevertheless it can be easy, fun and healthy. Thank you for watching BuonaPappa and let me know if there is any recipe you would like to see in a video! ciao!! b

My baby started to eat semolina wheat at 6mos and the package is good only for 6 weeks and he cannot finish it..i didnt know i can' eat that as well..hehe thanks for the recipe..can i use fresh fennel for a 7 month instead of the seeds?
@Buonapappa5 жыл бұрын
Yes, semolina is a lovely ingredient for adults too! I love semolina gnocchi as a family recipe :-) Yes, you can use fresh fennel instead of seeds. Cook it in the recipe and than puree' everything. Ciao! b

Is it fine if i dont use cheese? coz its very difficult to get in my area.
@Buonapappa9 жыл бұрын
Hi! sure, you can skip the parmesan cheese. The soup will have a more delicate taste. If you are NOT cooking for babies or toddlers you can always add a pinch of salt to replace the cheese salty touch. Ciao! b

Helo bouna pappa I want to ask u.. I have 9 month old baby and he is thin I want him thick plz tell me what I should give him
@Buonapappa9 жыл бұрын
+Sikander Khowaja Hi! If your baby is growing and gaining weight normally I would not worry. You can check with your pediatrician the family growth chart that takes in consideration your and your spouse's weight/height and see if your baby is growing accordingly. Offer him a healthy and balanced diet. Proteins, carbohydrates, good fats, vitamins and fibers: a balanced mix of everything. Also, seasonal, local and organic food is the best choice. I hope it helps!! ciao, b

can we freeze it? how to store it?
@Buonapappa7 жыл бұрын
Hi! yes, you can freeze the semolina soup in an air tight container for up to 3 months. When needed, simply thaw it (check this video to see how you can easily thaw baby food) and warm it up again. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGK3fneonLCcgq8 otherwise you can store it always in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Thank you so much for watching!!! b
@Buonapappa12 жыл бұрын
Let me know if you like it! The more semolina you add, the thicker the soup will get. And if you added a bit too much (sometimes it happens), just add some more broth or hot water to reach the texture you like! ciao ciao, b

@Buonapappa8 жыл бұрын
Hi! Semolina flour. It's basically durum wheat flour. Durum wheat is used to make pasta and couscous. Semolina is less grainy than couscous, but it's the same ingredient. Ciao! b

Raw semolina? It's not good for babies. I think we should dry roast semolina prior to adding into carrot.
@Buonapappa7 жыл бұрын
Hi! sorry if I was not clear in the video, but the semolina is cooked for few minutes in the boiling hot carrot/fennel broth. Ciao! b
