Why does Congress only worry about Union wages? Most American workers don't make Union compensation... As an example look at transportation of goods. Truck drivers make way less then Railroad employees. Truck drivers are expected to work 60-70 hr. weeks, every week! Many work double that if they are a in a"team", or own and maintain their truck. Train crews shut down after 8hrs. Driven to a hotels, feed, and rest. Not to mention the wage, healthcare, retirement, and vacation packages enjoyed by Railroad employees. Driving the roads are far more dangerous, stressful, and demanding, then riding a train. So when you discuss American Workers, the majority are below Union jobs as far as compensation.

They are building an EV plant in Georgia. It's a Korean company. They are hiring VERY few citizens and moving Koreans to the area. There are limited houses already to rent. They're also buying houses for their employees to rent. Housing issues are affecting the neighboring counties. HOWEVER, if that's not bad enough, they're going to use a water source that goes into Florida. North Florida relies on this water to live. The plant requires so much water that it will deplete the water source. It will dry up. They were approved to build here because it was going to bring so many jobs to Georgia. They failed to state who they were going to hire for those jobs. I don't know how the hell they're getting away with the water though. I just can't imagine that that was not discussed.

That was an honest assessment from both parties as to they're perspectives and highlighted the points as to which they disagree. Hawley didn't win in that though which is his style and he ended the interview on that note, pushing his view point regardless of the expert witness actually explaining the reasons why he had reached his conclusions and they were essentially correct ones even if disagreeable to peasant pleabian standards of economic etiquette.
