No one should be hateful. Did you listen to his entire speech? I think the problem with radical left or right politics is that their constituency do not WANT to gain perspective from the opposing side and rather resort to verbal, and in some cases physical, attacks. What you are referencing here is willful ignorance. The CHOICE to remain ignorant and the CHOICE to act volatile only because said others are not "on your side" - so to speak. So I disagree. I think their is negative emotions and attacks from both far sides, and the premise of this entire speech is to emphasize the defusing of such unproductive and ridiculously senseless behavior so that REAL work can be done on behalf of the American people.

First and foremost he is a great man and lives his life based on his unswerving core values. There in lies the issue I've had with Mitt. He swore and oath to represent his constituents rather than his own beliefs and bias. While the majority of the time I agreed with Mitt, there were times he appeared to abandon the majority of his constituents and voted based on his personal beliefs, bias, values and relationships. While that is honorable as an individual, he is / was a representative of the people. Thank you, Senator. It has been good to know there were a few solid, trustworthy voices.

He deserves more credit for always calling out shit in his own party, wasn't easily pushed around.

He was useless... A total failure...

He deserves that credit so much, he's one of the last few Republicans who have upheld the values of Nixon, Reagan, H.W Bush, and W Bush. He hasn't been corrupted by the modern republican party's ideas of misinformation, conspiracy theory, anti-intellectualism and having a lack of respect to our constitution.
He was literally a puppet for the Establishment in 2008 and 12 until they realized he couldn't get elected

He is a corporate congressman, who takes big donations from fossil fuels, big Pharmaceutical and big corporations. His interests are to give them all they ask for, especially tax cuts.

I wish Republicans could be like Mitt Romney again. If Romney had won in 2012, I honestly wouldn't have minded it.

It's to bad we don't have this man who has integrity and compassion for president.

“Integrity” and “compassion” don’t pay the bills or keep us out of wars. You leftists need to learn what critical thinking is and stop voting based on manufactured emotion.

Romney will be missed. The GOP has gone much too far right.

Dear Senator Romney, thank you for your years of tireless service and being a voice for truth when many in your party abandoned the ideals that have always made America great. You will be very much missed!
