1:43 is oddly satisfying to listen to in the heat of the battle, one character down, you're ready for an S-craft, you've got just 1 BP, your dishes are running out......but the opponent is also at less HP..just used S-craft, will be in the break state if you keep pushing...I love this one with that context

Problem is, the best OSTs of Sen 4 (like this theme here) play very few times during the story unfortunately. (It's more due to "bad distribution" of the best OSTs throughout the game that make Sen 4 soundtrack look not as good as Sen 3 soundtrack IMO)

@@TheInfinityMaster1yeah, that’s definitely the biggest (/only) problem with this game‘s OST. Like, at least 75% of all the important story fights are punctuated by Enduring Grief. Don’t get me wrong, Enduring Grief is a fantastic song, one of my personal favorites in fact. But both this song and Seductive Shudder are great as well. So why do these get to play like… once during the main story, and then get relegated to quests and bonding events. If I remember correctly, the first time you ever hear this song is in the joke fight vs Gilbert Stein. After that, Fie‘s first bonding event. And then you have to wait until a semi-required quest in Act 2, Part 3 until you hear it again (I forgot that it also plays vs Craig and Neithardt). Seductive Shudder you hear during your fight vs Rose in Act 1, and then you again have to wait until a semi-required quest in Act 2, Part 3 to hear it again. Meanwhile, Enduring Grief plays in the Prologue, vs Zephyr, vs Class I, vs Campanella, Sharon and Lechter and vs Claire and Angie. And that’s not even half of the game.

This may be one of Falcom Sound Team's magnum opus for epic clashes. I just came across the very first big fight where this appears and holy mother of Aidios, an instant adrenaline-rush when this came banging through the speakers. And holy shit what a thrilling and difficult fight that was, took everything in my power to repel those beasts in 35 turns

Cold Steel 4’s metal really shows that Rean and the others are now on par with enforcers and shit can go down brutally without it being one sided.

Well, since we know that Joshua is an ex-enforcer, it's safe to assume that they're not exactly always so strong. Well, except for Direwolf, Leonhardt and McBurn ofc. Even Joshua can actually fight one on one with Direwolf and able to take Leonhardt guards down and saves Estelle at the same time. It's just that Enforcers in Cold Steel really depicted as having an abominable amount of strength, which is actually because one of the theme of growing up from nothing to hero. Seeing Class VII getting stronger each title is very satisfying tho. Especially in IV when almost every heroes gathered together.
