Senator Warren: I'm not a constituent of yours but I want to say that I recently took 2 classes at the local community college and my student loans more than doubled. The classes were a few hundred dollars each. How is that possible? The math makes no sense. I refuse to pay anything now. I can't purely based on ethics.

I spent 3 semesters in college, 2 of which I completely failed due to online school. I took out 2 private loans from Sallie Mae and 3 federal ones because Sallie Mae marketed themselves as similar to federal loans in terms of protection, but when the pandemic hit and I lost my job and my place in college, Sallie Mae forced me to continue paying interest or else my mom (who co-signed) would suffer in terms of credit scores. Meanwhile, my federal loans are on forbearance, and I regret and despise the fact that I ever did business with Sallie Mae. Fuck them forever

Top commenter Bob Stewart states his student loans more than doubled but infers that is on a couple of classes. Then states he refuses to pay ANYTHING now because of ( drum roll) ETHICS. Bob, you need to add an Ethics class to your education..when you commit to contract, borrow money and promise to pay it back, and then don't, YOU HAVE EITHER NO ETHICS OR BAD ETHICS. Be an adult, quit taking out loans subsidized by taxpayers, and pay your obligations. You are part of the problem.
