Here is a Malay tune called " Senandung Rindu", I believe it was popularised by The Swallows from Singapore in 1964

How many of you know the old and rustic Geylang Serai? Five foot way 'pasar siang' with bustling crowds of many races. Many trishaws ringing bell for your attention to fetch you home with your 'barang barang". That was the first time i listened to 'Senandong Malam' played from 'a record stall' selling EP & LP along the road side. The CITY LIMIT was there too! Played on...The Swallows(burung layang layang)! Forget Abdul Wahab's burung screw-driver...ya?
