I went on a short run. My legs were aching from yesterday's fast 10km run. So I thought I would just run as long as this video lasted. I began the run very slowly, trying to endure the pain from my calf muscles. Slowly, as the laps went by in fond contemplation and remembrance of Sri Ramar, I had crossed 7km. I wasn't even half way through the video. Because I kept repeating the video at the song "Bandureethi". When the video ended, I had completed 10km. I thought of running just 3 to 4 km at max, but ended up with 10km, and could have gone longer had Ramar wished me too. There was no pain as I heard this wonderful rama Katha.that is the power of ramakatha. Jai Sri Rama Jai Hanuman

Very nice! I was born in Govindhapuram at my maternal grandfather, Ganesa Sivan’s (Title Sivan was bestowed by Kanchi Mutt) home. He was the custodian of Bothendra Swamigal Mutt near Cauvery River. I am told that one who is in deep meditation at this Samadhi would hear ‘Rama Nama’ distinctly. Shrimathi. Vishaka’s great grandfather Shri Gopala Iyer belonged to my village, Kurungulam near Khandhankudi & Thirunallaru in Tanjore District. He left our village long back and his family members are settled in Madras and abroad but they have great affinity for our village. Vishaka’s uncle Shri. Gururangan from USA visited our village year before last to bless a fund created for village development and conduct Kumbhabishekam to eleven temples. Shri. Gururangan and his family members alone had contributed around Rs. Six Lakhs along with our VK family, villagers and others for a grand Kumbhabishekam of all the temples last year. Shri. Raghu Gururangan visited our village from USA after Kumbhabishekam of our temples. He is working to help our villagers. Our villagers are greatly overwhelmed by Shri. Gopala Iyer’s family members large hearted gesture. I strongly believe that each and every one settled in cities and abroad follow the footsteps of these family members; all our villages will be very prosperous.

POWER OF RAM NAAM Birbal was a minister in the court of Akbar, the great Mogul Emperor. Birbal, apart from his sharp intellect, was also a devotee of Sri Rama. Akbar had a special regard for Birbal. Akbar used to openly ask Birbal to clarify his impulsive - and very often strange doubts. Birbal never failed to give an immediate and a fitting reply to such questions. Wherever Akbar went, he used to take Birbal along with him. During one such instance, when they traveled for some official purpose, they had to take a route through a dense forest. In the course of the journey, both were totally exhausted and famished. So they decided to rest under the shade of a tree for a while before continuing their journey. Since Akbar was very hungry, he wanted to look around the place to see if he could find a house to get some food. He induced Birbal to follow suit. But Birbal, who was in the midst of Rama Naam Jap (repetition of Rama's name), turned down Akbar's request. Akbar looked at Birbal and said, 'Mere chanting of the name of the Lord would not fetch you food. You have to put in your efforts.... You cannot achieve anything without self effort...' Akbar left Birbal in the pursuit of pacifying his belly. In a little while, he spotted a house. The inmates of the house were overjoyed to see their King coming to their very doorstep for food. They treated him to the best of their capacity. Akbar finished his meal and took a little food for Birbal too, and left the house to meet Birbal. He met Birbal and gave him the food. 'See Birbal, I told you... I took some efforts for the food and I got it. You were just sitting and chanting Rama Naam, and you did not get any food.' Birbal ignored his scoffing, and partook the food given by Akbar. After he finished the meal, he looked up at Akbar and said, 'I have just now experienced the power of Rama Naam, like never before. You are the ruler of the land. But today, even the King had to beg for food. But you look at me. I was just chanting Rama Naam here, and the Rama Naam made the king himself get me food, that too by begging. So I got the food, just by sitting here and chanting Rama Naam without any other special efforts. Such is the power of Rama Naam!!'

if both of them together chanted the mantra they might have ended up being hungry. Story has no validity in explaining the powers of ram naam. Ram naam is a great mantra no doubt about it. This story suggest the opposite effects of rama nama telling that mantra chanting will make the other person suffer for you in order to be I to be happy. Definitely there are better ways of explaining the powers of mantra japam.

it is the bless of Lord Sree Raama to hear 'Raama naamam' through her voice, very emotional and devotional while chanting 'Sree Raama Naamam" even while expressing my feelings on this. Many times, most of colleagues questioning me, why are u listing this divine chanting though you does not understand Tamil. To this, I used to reply " whenever I am going to other places/states used to take food items and fulfilling hungry mostly surviving well, like wise language is no bar for listening 'Lord Raama naamam'. be listen and keep in memory alway the God ' Raam'.
