Senate vote fails to pass bipartisan border security bill

A Senate vote on an already once-failed bipartisan border security package has failed again 43-50 after Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer pushed the final vote on Thursday. The vote had been widely expected to fail even though Sen. Schumer rallied lawmakers on its passage. Lawmakers have passed blame across the aisle on the failure to find a solution to the influx of migration on the southern U.S. border with Mexico.

I'd love to see Trump pick a independent as VP. It'd change our government permanently and for the better. If I were to be elected president I'd want a vice with different opinions than mine. Nothing extreme but different enough to cause debate and bipartisanship. Let's mix it up here because obviously the two party system has been failing us for half a century.
