What an important, dead-on conversation. I am one of many, many Americans who has switched over to the Republican party as a result of watching the horror show that is the Democratic party, these past few years. Thank you.

I honestly don't know why anyone would want to be associated with the crap that we've seen on the streets and these morons online who are degrading the founding fathers and this country's founding principles. But if the polls are even 70% accurate then we are really sliding into an abyss right now-- a lot of it was brought to us by globalists who allowed millions of people who don't even want a connection to this country's culture and past to get a foothold.

Ted Cruz has ALWAYS been misrepresented by the mainstream media and blowhards like Bill Maher. The guy was successful in the private sector with his law firm and argued in front of the United States Supreme Court 9 times, winning 5. He's straight up legit. Obviously extremely bright and a great speaker. People take weak shots at him ONLY because he's a Republican. He's very Presidential.

Chris Whinery you are 100% wrong if you think that. Ted Cruz was a champion of the constitution in 2016, after battling and winning 9 times in the supreme court. Ted Cruz was not covered in the 2016 because dems and repubs did not want Cruz... so they covered their candidate and those they thought had the smallest chance and that was Trump... and that worked to Trump’s advantage as they sidelined Ted Cruz. Trump destroyed their candidates and trump had a following for it... Even during the debates... they ignored Ted Cruz until 40 minutes into the debate.

The example i use in conversations about socialized medicine is the VA. Us vets have been dealing with government health care for a decade, and its the worst. I had to wait six months for an appointment to get xrays, that i had to drive six hours to get. Then wait six months to go over the results. Which just led to needing mris, another six months, and six hours down the road. The end result was the doctor saying they didnt know what to do about my back, but they now offer alternative medicine if i wanted to get some acupuncture, six months and six hours down the road. I gave up and went to a proper civilian doctor. Who gave me a diagnosis on the first visit, and gave me a treatment plan that worked and i only had to wait a reasonable amount of time to receive. The problem now is that the government insurance wont approve that treatment plan anymore. So all they can do is get me hooked on opiates. The government is the worst at running health care, and we have a long running example of it with the VA.

He could have said the only obvious & rational thing to say, "yes has been consumed by his LEFT leaning politics.." and it would have not only been TRUE, but he wouldn't have been dishing on Kimmel either... So instead of giving Kimmel a little TOUGH love, he opted for the KIMMEL FREE SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM... Which certainly isn't going to help Kinnel recognize how far he's strayed... @@RcB_1985 Not sure what a lineman is (running and fixing power lines?), but if you die it's your own stupidity. If a fireman dies, it's because he went into a burning building to get someone out. And the someone might have been a dog or cat.

6:20 "how much effort it takes to be poor" I just listened to a podcast with a guy in L.A. He says that he must wake up at 6 AM every morning to go to work, etc. He sees the same homeless guy making the same rounds for cans (or whatever) at the same convenience stores every morning. "Can you imagine if he actually applied himself to a *real* job?"

Holy crap, we had one of those swamp coolers. My folks called it a humidifier. It didn't look like the one in the photo you guys found, but it was similarly seventies-looking. It had a roller and a tray at the bottom that you would fill with water. However, my folks did use it as a humidifier in my room during the cold months to help with my allergies

Unfortunately, children are not getting educated in the public school, they are getting propaganda. How do I know? I was teaching during the tine of “No Cild Left Behind” and “Common Core”. I also believe in vouchers. My Mother graduated from one of the first Charter like schools, Jones Commercial High School, started in Chicago. She was picked to spend her last two years there.

Regarding school choice: I've heard the arguments for school choice and it I understand it. I have been pro school choice. But I had a realization. If we let anyone go to any school, there's a high chance that we will allow god awful kids into very good schools. Our son goes to a nice school. It's very diverse, clean, no violence or trouble. Then if all of the sudden kids from the inner city show up and bring their "fighting skills", the school goes downhill and is destroyed. Can someone help me understand why this is worth the risk importing trouble kids? Is there a way to weed them out? It's like living in an apartment with high rent vs. low rent. You keep the rent high to keep the bad people out.

Maybe a perspective to consider is that if a school lets in bad seeds and the overall quality of the school goes down, parents would choose to send their kids to a different school that keeps a higher standard. If kids leave, that means less money for that school and faculty. I assume that the faculty would want to prevent losing students/money, so they'd be motivated to keep expectations high.

It's about free market principles. If your "clientele" is unmanageable or your product is inferior, you'll lose paying customers. The incentive to perform in all areas, including security, is vital to success. Qualified SROs help with this. Real discipline must be maintained. The main reason that inner city schools are failing is not lack of funding, it's lack of discipline, a wimpy school board, and top-heavy administration.
