I can manage it when I play each hand but when I tried to do both at once it's a different story, can anyone teach me how to learn hand independence?

Play it very slowly and making sure that notes played at the same time are played at the same time. Connect the left and right hands by practicing the notes together, and with practice, your hands should learn muscle memory. I hope that somehow made sense.

A lot of people give the advice of doing one hand at a time, I decided "screw that, I'll just do both at one time since I start practicing the song", that worked like a charm.

At 0:40, it sounds weird even though I'm playing the right keys. I'm only playing with my right hand. Does anyone else have this issue? Or is it just me?

Mirrored Dxnces Im not sure if I would recommend your way of doing this xD. I always use one hand for each side, but I don’t know how to even learn to play with my left hand even though I have done it in the past.

It’s because in an attempt to make it easy they made some beats longer and in the process cut out the shorter beats. If you want, you may cut the “D”s into shorter beats and make it sounds more like the original
