One of the best discography in the industry. I might be bias, they are the best😂 Just god tier. Lot of Luvies fav tracks mostly from their b-side tracks. Just so good. Impeccable. I'm super happy that you're getting to know Red Velvet's amazing discography, btw the b-sides from Dumb Dumb's album are ridiculously good (TBH all their albums are just masterpieces). Kinda unrelated but, I really recommend the solo Korean artist "Woodz", he's an amazing producer, rapper, singer, dancer that honestly doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves, it would mean a lot if you could give him a chance, I recommend "I Hate You" "Accident Live Clip" "Love me Harder" "Waiting" "Feel Like" "Better and Better" "Dirt on my Leather" "Lullaby" and I'll stop now before I name his entire discography, it's just too good! Honestly, Woodz is kind of like Red Velvet in the sense that every single song is unique, they never repeat the same sound, super versatile, so I don't think it makes much difference if you go in chronological order or not, you'll always be surprised, so go with whatever is more comfortable for you. Also, I find it kinda funny how you're loving my favorite girl group (Red Velvet) and we have the same favorite SW character, like what a coincidence

Yep I was going to comment, but you mentioned it on the comment section. So yeah Wendy is the one with red hair in ONE OF THESE NIGHT..LOL! I’m still surprised that you couldn’t match her vocals with the face because it’s most definitely Wendy vocals when she is shown. But you’re still getting to know Red Velvet and for the most part you’re good in picking out the girls vocals and telling them apart. Maybe because Red hair Wendy is new to you that’s probably why you mixed her up with Seulgi. Wendy usually has dark hair and sometimes blonde.. so red was a different look/hair color for her.

@@atgnireactions5343 no worries lol as I mentioned you’re still getting to know Red Velvet. I know some ReVeLuvs who mixed up members all the time when they first started out on their RV journey. So don’t worry you’re not the only one hahaha! The girls constantly changes hair colors and styles often for comeback. Sometimes ppl mix up Irene and Seulgi or Irene and Wendy, it’s usually those 3 LOL! Joy and Yeri have such distinct looks and vocals. So it’s easy to tell them apart from the other members. What made it easier for me to tell them apart when they first debuted was Seulgi’s eyes.. I knew it was Seulgi when it comes to her eyes. Irene had a classic beauty while Wendy.. FOR ME.. kind of had a foreigner or mixed beauty/vibe to me. But I kind of got it right because she’s full Korean, she just studied abroad haha. So her English and even the way she sings especially English songs or words I was like she has to be from the US or something. Haha.

I think Joy was easier to recognise after a while when they do group dances because she is the tallest from what I can see, and Yeri is has very distinct characteristics to look out for once I got names to faces! I, for one, will never be "when will we be getting other things!?" about Red Velvet content. But I will say there is a benefit to rotating in other content because then we can spread the Red Velvet out longer hahaha :D Then I won't be like, oh no, no more Red Velvet reacts :'( Hahaha Oh something I was going to mention last time that might be fun - I saw someone once pointed out that they always have a scene sitting around a table/in a circle - you will also often see the cutting of a thread. Anyway - UM EXCUSE ME you getting everyone's names on point now in Dumb Dumb - I am so impressed :D And yes Wendy in the back at that one moment, you're clicking on voices and names, I am loving this. I am a trombonist, so give me a horn section - and yes, I do believe there was some hihat action in there, that kind of persistent driving subdivision definitely gives the energetic vibe. Oh noooo ok you're still learning, Wendy in red hair in One of These Nights but hey good job. You mentioned Seulgi when she was at the window - and that was Seulgi! In a kind of medium dark blond/ombre type of thing. and you got Irene and Yeri right off the bat, and Joy. But if you notice Seulgi and Wendy a lot - Wendy is main vocal and Seulgi is lead, but Seulgi is often said to be the singer that would be main vocal in any group that didn't include Wendy. :) Over time you will hear the difference in their vocal tones more clearly but they also are able to blend their unisons so well. For me, I feel like there is a kind of dark round nasal (not in a bad way) quality to Seulgi's voice where Wendy's sounds more airy and open? I minimum tear up if not cry every time I see or hear One of These Nights. The filming in that video is really interesting as well, so many continuous shots with some interesting transitions - the framing is so beautiful. Feel My Rhythm is the brand new latest Korean title track - and yes it's Seulgi peeking over the wall! I think Wendy having no eyebrows in One of These Nights really threw you off :D hahahahaha because you were spot on again with names in Feel My Rhythm :D You also clocked the Bach sample correctly! Air on the G string. :D Something that might be fun for you is to watch the recording behind the scenes for this - you can watch them singing their parts and recording them live, which is... just incredible. OK - Hieronymus Bosch - Garden of Earthly Delights triptych. You must go and zoom in and look around and see all the amazing references here. So in the opening there are references to other artists - but the rest of the video is basically Bosch all the way. Seulgi - you will see the chair she's sitting on but they made her look absolutely stunning of course, and not like some sluggish bird creature haha :D There is a boat - it doesn't look literally like Irene's boat, but you could see an inspiration for her scene. There's the flower thing Joy is in, there's the pink bubble thing Yeri is in. If you look you will see a bird with a long needle-like beak with a red globe that looks like what Joy pops at that one moment. I'm not 100% about Wendy's references, except that there are giant strawberries! hahah there is a kind of... almost ice cave like moment in the painting and I guess that must be the idea for where she is coming out? Oh! And them sitting around the table in the big broken giant half! That is in the painting as well - right panel. So like I think the strawberries are supposed to represent human pleasure or something, and these demons/birds feed on it, Irene is seen giving one to the big scary giant like an offering - then we see Seulgi eating it... something along those lines. but you were spot on about them being in the giant, holy moly. You can actually see it fall during the animation sequence at the modulation which is really cool. Oooh I was just looking for a reference list for the paintings in the beginning and found this article that shows the ice cave! And you seem to be commenting as you go through the video if I am not mistaken... it's like a running commentary of my commentary...ahaha! I am super embarrassed that I got Wendy in OOTNs mixed up with Seulgi... Let me just go find a corner to hide in!! You a trombonist? THAT'S SO COOL... Hey I am not sure if you are aware of the "Sewol Ferry" incident whereby many lives including many young aged students and children were lost. Apparently "One of these nights" were theorised to be a tribute to this incident. 1) the paper boats in the teaser were symbols of mourning 2) yeri was blurred out on the album cover since Yeri was around the same age of the students whose lives were lost. 3) irene was one of the students who sit still and listened to the unclear instructions and due to that, she didn't managed to escape in time. (Hence her looking at her own reflection underwater) 4) seulgi found out the truth and opened the window for wendy, but it was too late as wendy got drenched/soaked in the drizzling waters. However, just like the students, wendy tried to escape the dripping waters by going under the table to stay safe. 5) Yeri was sound asleep on the boat filled with water 6) joy manages to escaped by climbing up the ladder. She was the only one in the scene who wore black to pay respect to the victims whereas the other members wore white as they didn't managed to escape in time There's many part of the scenes where it depicts the tributes of the unfortunate tragedy of the students. 16 April was the date of the incident, which was few days back.

@@atgnireactions5343 Actually, the MV is about the Sewol Ferry Accident but the song lyrics is about the folktale behind Chilseok, a traditional festival celebrated in Korea on July 7 of the lunar calendar; the Korean title of the song is a reference to this date. As the story goes, Jik-nyeo, the daughter of a king of heaven and a skilled weaver, descends to earth for a visit one day. She meets Gyeon-woo, an orphaned cow herder boy, and they fall in love. She stays with him secretly, and they marry. But the Jade Emperor finds out and separates the lovers. During the moment of parting, they cry with such sorrow that magpies are moved, and they form a bridge across the Milky Way (known as the Ojakgyo Bridge) for the lovers to meet once a year. This annual meeting falls on Chilseok. The lyrics of “One of These Nights” expresses longing for this moment of reunion to be suspended and captures both the sorrow of parting and the hope of meeting again.

These girls are literally my everything. Oh my god. I have been following them since debut and they were my first like, real real ult. bias group. (2NE1 got me into kpop in 2011, so they'll always have a special spot in my heart, you should ABSOLUTELY check them out if you like quirky versatility, and badass rapping. However some of their MV's CAN be triggering due to hard to handle themes IE: drugs, domestic violence, etc.)

Wendy also debuted solo with Like Water & also has When This Rain Stops live (?) I think. It’s one of her b-sides Joy also debuted solo with Hello. She also has live of some of her b-sides Irene & Seulgi debuted as a subunit with Monster. They also have another MV for Naughty (choreo is lit). Yeri hasn’t debuted yet as solo but she has an SM station mv, Dear Diary. She wrote it herself! Red Velvet have several SM stations too: Would U, Rebirth, Milky Way! Red Velvet had a short hiatus from December 2020 so Psycho was their last comeback until Queendom in 2021. This is because Wendy had an accident in a awards show (still hate SBS until now) so everyone waited until she was ready and healthy again. Nevertheless, during those times, Irene & Seulgi debuted solo, they release Milky Way sm station (w/ Wendy!). In 2021, Wendy and Joy debuted solo.

Welcome to the realm of multistan sav 😁 Dumb Dumb is a fun song, the repeating dumb part always make me smile, and the music somehow remind me of my rebellious teeenage days 😂. If it was me before, I won't like OOTN, because I don't like ballad song, but now I'm into ballad thanks to Dreamcather (weird huh 🤭). And yes, it's a sad song, the MV is kind of tragic, especially after someone mentioned that OOTN is a tribute to Sewol Ferry incident. OOTN will be in my soft playlist from now on. The points I was going to bring up regarding these 3 songs others in this comment section have already illustrated better than I could, so I'll say this instead... The best part about Red Velvet is that there are layers to uncover. You see one or two of their videos and you say "Wow, this song is really catchy and the girls are really pretty, I have to look into them a bit more." Then you watch a few more of their title tracks and you say "Wow, their videos are so creative and diverse, I need to look into then a bit more." Then after a few more you say "Wow, their vocal line is really impressive. The way they have such very different voices that blend so well together is incredible. I need to look into them a bit more." Then after you've exhausted their title tracks, you say "OMG, their B-sides are all amazing. I haven't heard a single bad song from them yet." I've been a rabid fan of the group for over 6 years now and they haven't let me down yet. I never even think twice about pre-ordering their new albums as soon as they become available. I already know that every song on it is going to be good. In 2019, Knetizens voted RV as the group with the overall best discography in Kpop, amd it's only gotten better since. Feel My Rhythm is basically about being free in the moment. The lyrics say not to get trapped in yesterday or tomorrow, and the painting they mainly reference in the MV (the Earthly Delights by Hieronymos Bosch) is basically a warning against enjoying the "earthly delights"/sin, since in christian belief we will pay for it in the future. RV say nah, just party it up and don't worry too much about it :)
