I love Igbo culture. The burial rites of a titled Igbo man take days. There is the aspect of salutation where the canon gunshots are fired to announce the death in the village and the burial rites. My siblings and I were also given the same advise not to cry publicly when we were burying our father. We were on dark shades. That moment when they lower the body is the most heart wrenching moment 😢. There’s no easy way to handle grief. But God will strengthen you and the family.
