I'm so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out for you. I never had a relationship with my father, but when he passed, he definitely took something with him. I understand the emptiness, realizing you will never be able to talk to him again. But, even if you're in a dark hole because of it, it will eventually get better. Giving yourself time to mourn, (and that may be a while, and you may never get over it), learning life without them is hard. But it really does get better. Looking forward, and having them in the back of your mind of what they would have wanted for you is healing in itself. You just have to keep going. Life isn't easy, but it does has its pros. I hope you find solace eventually. 🖤

I saw Chevelle in concert and never realized just how short the lead vocalist was! The song has helped me through hell and everything else that made me feel the worst since middle school. Even my mom and sister have fallen in love with the band due to the song and a few others. Can't help but put it on blast when it comes on the radio or listening to the album. You do an amazing job bringing the passion and I love it, your version of the song truly shows how it has impacted you personally. So beautiful and you can hear the pain being swallowed and then released through your voice. Such an impact.
