Version 2 Now Available Fixes some comma & spacing issues, can manage commas in the 1st column, & increases the comma-containing column limit. powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/CSV-to-Dataset/m-p/1508191#M584

Incredible work, helped me out a good bit today. With a few modifications I was able to make your flow work for my dataset. Thank you a ton!

Thanks so much for sharing Steven! Was there anything with the modifications that could have been easier or made clearer?

Hi sorry to ask yet another question, but can this be adapted to send the data to SQL rather than an Excel or Sharepoint destination? If so, do you know where I could start as far as converting that JSON into a SQL input? I am a beginner to all of this

If you only have a few rows, or maybe a couple hundred, then the Parse JSON in this flow will put the CSV contents in dynamic content so you could then reference them in one of the standard SQL create row actions in a loop. powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/CSV-to-Dataset/td-p/1508191 If you have many rows to add, maybe 1000 or more, then you can also look into using the batch SQL create, read, update, delete template: powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Automate-Cookbook/SQL-Batch-Create-Read-Update-and-Delete/td-p/1715338

@@tylerkolota Thank you! I managed to get the insert row (v2) working, now I will give the batch a try because it is a lot of data. I really appreciate all of your help and have a ton of respect that there are people out there who take the time to help others learn. I subscribed so I can start to learn more. Power Platform is an amazing tool, but knowing how to use it all is another story.

@@ayecob558 Honestly I’m not sure MS fully intended people to use it the way I do in some templates lol. But I like the idea of building on the low-code platform and capabilities so more people can somewhat easily take over some work that normally requires more pro-developers.

@@ayecob558 Now the template outputs a query to a compose action, if you then create the actual Query action below it & insert the compose with the query according to the template action notes, then it should work.

Hi thank you for this video and this code ! I have a problem at Select CSV to JSON, It's always empty i don't understadn why. At the step before (compose Reformat back to CSV with new delimiter) in my outputs i have datas..

Did you adjust the expressions in the Map section to reference your column numbers? If the expressions are still in the From & Map inputs of the Select CSV to JSON, then the only other thing I would suspect is the header & footer skipping logic. What do you have for the... "HeaderRowsToSkip": And "FooterRowsToSkip": in the Compose CSV data + Set-up action and how many rows of data do you have?

@@tylerkolota I think it's the line break, I don't know what to put, I try to remove the decodeUriComponent('%0d'), my JSON is created but there are mistake in the datas. With decodeUriComponent('%0d') and decodeUriComponent('%0a') there is an empty json

@@Ziggygou If you view the text of your file, what are the line-breaks at the end of each line? Is it or is it just ? And do you have parts of data in your rows that use the same characters? Like a multiple choice output separating by or a paragraph type of text with in it?
@tylerkolota Жыл бұрын
If you have both linebreaks for the csv and in-data linebreaks, I don’t have anything in this template to deal with that.

@@tylerkolota my columns are separated with a ; and my lines are just line break
