Congratulation the Republic of Senegal for being able to implement the first Africa electrified BRT system. Tanzania has already completed the firts three lines of BRT system, out of 5 phases of BRT system in Dar es salaam. Currently the Metropole of Dar es salaam is working very hard to secure the funds to build the very modern Metro System. The current plan is to have 7 lines of U-Trains in Dar es salaam, where by the Metro will be full capable of providing transport services in 24 hours.

Remains to be seen if the electric system will withstand the conditions. These buses are like a greenhouse and have no windows, the aircon is gonna be blasting all day. And who will pay for new batteries in five years...

Electric busses made in China? You can bet the batteries in those buses will over heat in the African summer and burst into flames when they are charging. 😅

Electric buses are lade in Nigeria and Uganda also. But i believe that they have a back up system. China is also i. some places hotter than certain places in Africa. Lets see how it goes.

Maybe you should invent a super cooling system to help keep them cool 😎
@mrMacGoover9 ай бұрын
@@trollthetruthand5458 The problem is when they're charging, they heat up and are teetering on the edge of thermal overload...and when that happens they arc out at which point they burn like runaway thermite blaze and nothing will extinguish the fire... you just gotta stand back and watch it burn.
@trollthetruthand54589 ай бұрын
@@mrMacGoover what about cooling containers or a box built with a climate control that keeps the whole battery from exposure of sun and heat while limiting the charge rate especially during the summer days. There's always a way you African are smart enough to find a way.
@mrMacGoover9 ай бұрын
@@trollthetruthand5458 The problem is they have charge quick enough to maintain a tight schedule so a slower and longer charge time would render them much less reliable than combustion engine busses, at this point... you would be better off using busses that run on overhead wires above main streets.

I'm not impressed with African making more debt with IMF and colonizers. Besides that .. Doesn't Africa have substantial lithium to sell batteries ? how does that keep the people who drive personal vehicles in "business"? They show shiny objects at Africans and their leaders are so quick to say yes. They are not thinking about the big picture. Only immediate gratification. This public model is more for the so called advanced countries more that thinking about what African need. I disagree.. not a good deal. and go into debt also? wow
@trollthetruthand54589 ай бұрын
Africa can't go into debt with billions of dollars in resources needed in China, if anything the Chinese will be in debt or working years to win over African leaders sorry but Africa has all the shiny things.
