To be fair, Masamune and Yukimura are no longer much of the spotlight characters or at least they haven't been since Sengoku Basara 3. Masamune retains some of the spotlight, due to Basara 4 effectively retconing the Battle of Sekigahara and placing him as Mitsunari's rival instead of it solely being Ieyasu. Ieyasu himself received less of the spotlight due to this.

Matsunaga is like the hidden final boss of every Sengoku Basara game, that's how powerful he is. Unlike Nobunaga or Hideyoshi, he doesn't really care about power, but he's usually the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. He's the type that needs more than one character to beat. So Kojuro doesn't really fit quite well with him, they only faced once in Sengoku Basara 2, that's it. As for Kotaro, he's actually the best ninja among the game, no one could compare to him, even Sasuke admitted and praised his skills.

Well, It makes sense. Iyeasu is one of the three strongest Daimo (Along with Hideyoshi and Nobunaga), their millitary power transfer into power in the game (Also, Iyeasu has very high stats in SB4, Far stronger than other three main characters+ Sakon and Katsuie)

Most of Iyeasu moves at Sengoku Basara are punching moves, But most of his move hits very few enemies at ones. But in terms of Japanese History, Iyeasu is one of the strongest leaders of all times.

From what i read, Shibata Katsuie is Oichi first husband, but later forced to divorce by Nobunaga to marry Azai Nagamasa. She birthed Nagamasa child before he got killed. Then she remarried again with Katsuie, and raised her child from Azai before Matsuhide rebelled and kill them both
