Sengol was used by all Tamil Kingdoms (Pandiyan, Chola, Chera and Pallava) with the earliest record from the oldest Pandiyan Kingdom 3000 years ago mentioned in Silapathikaram literature. It symbolize three sectors of the government - Judiciary, Executive and Legislative even in those time and raised above any personal choices like religious beliefs (Jainism, Buddhism, Shaivam and Vainavam, etc.) and any form of cultural and societal diversities. If BJP want to respect the Sengol - they should uphold a government that respect all three powers especially the upper and the lower houses and the Supreme court. Beware, till now no Tamil or Indian ruler enters the temple of Tanjore where the Sengol ruled - those who entered and have faulted in their administration have lost power immediately. Tamil epic Silapathikaran tells that Madurai was burnt by a ordinary citizen Kannagi when the Pandiyan King faulted in his rule symbolizing Sengol was bent.
